Man, that thing looks great!

I like the way the gauge cluster turned out. Seats are perfect.

Where did you get the windshield glass?

John

John,

I got it all done at Osborne glass on Bragg Blvd. I have been going there for about 15 years now for all of my glass.

For 20.00 I could not complain about that, i had tried by myself for a bit and said to heck with it and took it back to them.

Came out really nice.

WOW....

Retired young with income, cool cruiser chick, a garage full of tools, and a near complete full-restod 45.....

That thing is looking GREAT.....

Does it get any better than that? (excluding Pimp, of course)

There are a few out there including ( Pimp ), of course that have way more nicer ones than me but i am working on it slowly.

And if it was not for my better half i would not even own this one, so yes life is good. Now if i could just find me a decent job to be around cruiser's all day long life would be even better.

Spent the day today working on the windshield wiper motors. Tokk them all the way apart and cleaned them up and then put them back together and on the truck.

Also went ahead and ran the wiring for them, and they even work, so for the most part i think all of my wiring works like it should now.

Oh ya, forgot got the front bumper kinda on for the time being, got to get some more bolts for it.

Sorry that i have not updated for a bit here but i was waiting for a response from a company before i posted about them on here.

The company i got my seats from got me good. Well, not too bad but more than i would like for the price i paid for the seats.

When i first got the seats i noticed that the drivers side was not locking in at all. There was nothing under it to lock in with. I and my wife both emailed them and even called them back then and was told someone would get back to us. Fast forward a few months now. I put the seats in for good and remembered about the drivers side again. Emailed them again a few times and tried to call with no answer. All i wanted from them was to send me whatever they needed to fix them, but alas never an answer. So, seeing as i had some other seats here that did not fit but had the pieces i needed under it, i went ahead and took them off of my good seat, and put them under the seat that i had got from them. That now made the seats i was going to try and sell no good anymore. I have attached some pics below. Our next move tonight is with the BBB. We have used them before and had good results.

Few more updates for today.

Been doing a bit more buffing lately. Trying to get the paint job looking just right. I am really not too happy with the way it has come out, but like the wife and neighbors have been saying. It has come out really nice seeing as you did it in your " garage ". My next house will definately have a paint booth in the garage though, along with about 4 other bays to work in, not including the 2 car garage attached to the house.

Got some presents from Matt. Need one more small thing and i could hook up the linkage and go on. My engine does not have that small stud on the side where the linkage bolts onto. Has the stud for the spring though, go figure.

Took my rear view mirro down to the glass shop and walked out 5 dollars later with new glass for the mirror. That was cheap and nice on the wallet.

My seats don't lock. They look just like that.

Your throttle stuff is coming along well!

I was refering to the drivers seat not locking in the sliding part. If i was to hit the brakes fast the seat would just slide forward, then backward.

Ahh. Yep, should do that.

I think that would make for a not so fun day.

Dunno. Some people pay to do that kind of stuff all day.....

I used to get paid to go fire off rounds almost everyday for as long as i wanted. Life was good then.
