Next time

I will pass for now but i would still like to hit up this trail later on maybe towards the end of spring depending on how snow gets dumped this year.have fun and be safe.:)

How about a full on Cruiser event this summer?!

Maybe we should just organize a big 'Mud trip or something up there this summer since there seems to be a good number of people saying they want to go up there. (not to mention all the landcruisers I've run into up there in the past couple years!)

There's something to do for just about everyone up there; if you like difficult offroading you can find it, or if you just like mild stuff (like me) there's tons of it,... hiking, lake stuff, fishing...
I've been going up to the area with my Dad for a long time, and its become one of my favorite parts of California.

I just discovered this area this last summer and it's awesome! I'd be in for a summer mud event!

Well, I would be in for a spring/summer trip also!!! Especially since I won't be able to make it tomorrow due to powder coater...!!! sorry to back out!! :(

I'm all in Darrel, let's plan ahead for late spring or early summer.Kyle could keep us up to date on how much snow is up there and then give everyone at least a month to a set date which would be a Friday to Sunday deal so we can enjoy the sights. What do you guys think? Need all your input.

Sweet, and yeah I think Fri-Sun would work out well.

Sounds good. Fri-sun works best for me too.

My group of friends head up to downieville just below Sierra city each yr. I'm definitely going to take those easier trails next yr (stock 60).

I'd like to check out those trails around downieville too. And the town itself is so cute it's an easy sell to the wife!

The banff mountain film festival arrives at downieville each April. Smallest venue they go to world wide. Two days of awesome films. Yuba theater in downtown circa 1930.

This sounds cool...

They also have the Downieville Classic mountain bike festival, but I can't remember if the is early or late summer. Its a really cool town.

I've been thinking that I'd like to take the dirt roads from Downieville all the way to gold lake, anyone else interested in that?
