That would be nice man,i might end up driving the truck if i make it. My 4runner needs a new suspension and rides like chit, the FJ60 needs a clutch.:D
Would a stock suspension with 31" tires ok on this trail?

I think on this trail traction/lockers are more important than ground clearance...

For those that have ran this trail before in an 80, you'll know this spot well. It's a VERY steep climb after Snake Lake and going on to Little Deer Lake (counter clockwise). The rock is very loose here. At the top of the hill there are two giant boulders. It's an extremely tight squeeze for an 80 all while you're on a butt-puckering incline. I had my wife spot me here and had committed to the fact that I would come out of it with bashed body panels. Not sure how I made it through but I did!

If I ever get a 3-link done then I could just squeeze through like this guy did (note the 'bent tree') :flipoff2:

Update: no rig this past weekend... was told today to come this Saturday morning to pick up my rig, which throws a major wrench in my snake lake plans. I'm planning on making it to get my rig at 8 am (a buddy in a capable 4rnr is driving me) in paradise, and will most likely have to make it a day trip only. We can head to snake lake trail head around 10/11am and meet up, or do another local trail? Suggestions?
Sorry for the late changes....

So are we still gonna hit the trails? which weekend so i can check my schedule,i don't mind a day trip as long we get out before sun down.:D

This coming weekend, Saturday to be exact. I need to grab my truck in paradise at 8am-9am, then want to hit something up for the rest of the day. I would still like to do snake lake, but open to other cool suggestions... Not sure how much snow is up there. My buddy and I are both well equipped and ready to play until 3/4pm...

Snake lake is going to be incredibly difficult in snow I wont run that trail in this conditions without sliders. We just got snow at 3k feet today and its not thick but we have it. Up that high its going to Ice over and get slick by saturday. I dont reccomend snake loop. Idk what other options there are there but im game to goof off on saturday. Ill probably camp out at lake davis after and duck hunt sunday

Sweet! Let's go play. High lakes a difficult trail?

I'll have sliders ;) :flipoff:

K, are up and around that area? Suggestions where to go for some fun?

FYI, there is going to be quite a lot of snow this weekend it sounds like. They said we're expecting a foot in Grass Valley Saturday... soooo that is going to be nasty if you're up in the mountains.

Well if you are game for trails I live in quincy and know quite a few good ones but no crawling trails unless you go to lakes basin. Ill keep posted on the weather and snow since we are suppossed to get a decent amount in the valley.

There is probably going to be a lot up high
