Northern CA: Gold Valley~Snake Lake~Deer Lake~Sierra Buttes

I camped on Gold lake on Labor day weekend and there were no skeeters.

When I checked out Deer lake there were tire tracks going down to the shore. Someone had driven the staircase. Must have been one burly buggy!
 
Anyone want to do a late fall run up here? Down jackets, lots of campfires... ?? I get my rig back around turkey day I hope...

Put me down as a maybe, its a long drive but I love it up there. Would be the third time up there this year if I do go. :D

Are you thinking a weekend, or weekdays?
 
Shaping up! Hope the actual dates pan out for us all. FYI - I'm planning on bringing my two boys with me..
 
You can count me in as a maybe,i really want to hit the trails before winter.I might drive the 4runner since it needs a break in.keep us posted on dates of the trip.:D

any updates on a date for this trip? snow is supposed to come in a few weeks at lower elevations. lets get a date planned and see how it works for everyone
 
A few weeks is prob about where I'm at.
Are people available the friday-sunday after Thanksgiving? That would prob be best for me. I won't know for sure until later in my armor built-up. I was at the shop this weekend installing lift and got all the oem bumpers and steps off so he said he was going to start fabricating this week....

shoot, I wont be available for that weekend as ill be in Bodega Bay, but the weekend after is a definite possibility. its kind of funny that every weekend people plan in my neck of the woods im in other places
 
Well, weekend after might work instead. That would be the 6-8th of Dec. How's that sound to peeps?

well ill post a new event thread for the 6-8th but if someone else wants to spearhead the organization of it, then go ahead.
