Gummi Pflege

I am usually fairly leary of the "solution in a bottle" type of thing but this stuff really works! I saw this on another thread and decided to give it a try. My 80 door WS was really in not terrible shape and did not want to spend the money to replace it completely. This stuff is basically like an oil that plumps the weatherstripping back up. I cleaned the ws thoroughly with simple green and then applied. I found it easier to apply in some spots with a rag than the supplied tip sponge. I did 2 applications and then let it dry. definetly softened up the ws. I plan to run one more application here in the future.

Back up Camera

I have wanted / needed to do this for awhile. With 1 child, wife, 2 dogs and gear it is near impossible to see what is happening out the back window. This solves the problem nicely.

mounted the camera on the rear wind deflector, tapped into key hot in the drivers side harness (fuel pump) and zip tied the transmitter as far forward as possible in the drivers side rear quarter panel.

Worked great on our recent trip to June Lake, near mammoth. We tow a little pop up trailer so having this allows me to see everything that is going on back there and also see whom is coming up on my sides and rear end.

Eventually I am going to hard mount the power and the screen to the dash. For now I just plan to use the suction cup.

June Lake Trip

later is better than never I guess, had a great trip to june lake for a week with the family, the popup trailer was a nice thing to have, it got down to 8 degrees at night, but we were toasty inside with the heater on!, we traveled locally and fished the lakes, had some trout dinners, went to bodie ghost town, sat in the travertine hot springs overlooking the sirerra's. We drove the cruiser above bodie (back road in) to about 10.5k feet and had a blast. WE tried to make it all the way through but the snow drifts stopped us. My daughter started a great snowfight though! We even got a visit from a 500 pound brown bear!, right outside our trailer. The dingy sister left wassabe nut mix outside the trailer in her backpack. I have led lights that are motion activated on the outside so it basically lit him up and was quite a show for a few minutes, but my wife (and honestly I) were a little nervous, he was a big boy. I wish I had picks.

Have you been in Solana lately? I keep seeing a built white 80 driving around? I'm never driving mine when I see it though.

Thanks for the heads up on this product. I ordered it when I saw it, and it WORKS !I used it liberally (also) in the window track, and the windows go up and down full speed. Also, my 5 year old can now open the sliding windows in the back with ease. Thanks,

front bumper lights

finally got the front bumper led light setup done this weekend! a crappy cell pic for now. Also added synthetic winch line and a new fairlead. I used the existing slee harness setup to wire everything. The inside square little lights and the inside rectangular lights come on with the lows as fog lights. The stock bright switch turns on the main led bar as well as the outer rectangular lights. Will post up some more pics here shortly.....

Post pics with all those lights on.

Nice work!

What brand/make are the small square and rectangle LEDs? I need some that size...

Gonna PM you a mech question too.
