My daughter has my 2000 LC100 at school (3.5 hours away). She called bc the 100 wouldn't start.

On a video call, I can see/hear the following:
  1. No dash or interior lights working.
  2. No crank or clicking when trying to start.
  3. Battery read @ 12.5 volts.
  4. EFI Relay Bypass Kit Installed and 20 amp fuse is good.

The IH8MUD Search function did not return another post with the same symptoms - most similar threads still had working interior dash lights or clicking.

Any and all advice is appreciated.

Not yet, but the battery has enough power to try to start the engine.

I am starting to think the fuse panel is the problem since it seems that's where the power is being cut off between the battery and the rest of the 100's systems.

Been dozens of reports here of seemingly healthy batteries by voltage actually being dead. Easy thing to try to jump it to rule it out. And beyond that, several posts of "I tried to jump it" and it was a crap cheap battery jump pack or junk cables, then a new battery solved everything.

Try check fuse junction box installed on the top of positive battery terminal. I believe it's called fusible link. If that checks good, then try checking AM2 fuse in the fuse box located in engine bay.

The battery is an Interstate 31P-AGM7 and is around 15 months old. I know that doesn't mean its not the battery.

I'll report back after AAA tries to jump it.

No power at all with good battery could just be a bad connection at the battery posts.

AAA arrived and my daughter reports the LC made a few clicking sounds, but did not start. Also, no interior or dash lights when the jumper cables were connected.

Get your LC up and running?

My vote is for the battery being too weak and/or the connection is bad/corroded. Even if that's not the case, that is the starting place for figuring this out.

Whens the last time the vehicle was starting normally, did this just happen out of nowhere?

It sat for 5 days or so.

I have the Slee battery tray upgrade. My next remote diagnosis step is to have my daughter check the Slee battery posts, as the bolt at the pivot joint (on one of the two post clamps) worked its way loose and created a grounding problem.

This would be way easier to diagnose if the LC was in my driveway. And, I am not having it towed so the dealership can savage me with a big bill. I'll drive to her University and fix it myself if that's what it takes.

Possible issues at the moment:
- Bad battery.
- Battery wire connection issue.
- Power is being interrupted within the fuse panel.
