Not sure who the eBay vendor is but there are a few reliable forum vendors that sell kits as well. I'd recommend you use them as they can also offer some tech support if you have questions.

I have had good luck with Rotella T in both the 10w30 and 15w40 varieties.. Only use the 15w40 during the summer though, too damn cold here during the winter causing harder cold start.

Well that was very scary. I was heading back to school after lunch with my buddies and I was coming up on a stop sign to stop and a I let off to start hitting the brakes and my throttle stuck wide open. The petal just dropped to the floor. My instincts kicked in and I threw it in neutral and it was bouncing off of the limiter. I just turned off my car and had to coast off the road. I inspected my throttle cable and it is very frayed and will stick. I need a new cable but j have no clue where I can get one.

I actually called up Sierra Toyota which is where I used to get my land cruiser stuff when I lived in SoCal and they have 2 in stock brand new so I will have one on Monday

How much? I need a new one too.

111.50 plus shipping. My dads down there working so he's gonna pick it up for me and send it up here overnight.

Well. My accelerator cable is arriving tomorrow and there is snow on Tuesday. I've figured out what my rust protection is going to be on my car and it makes me very sad but I know it will be worth it because I don't want it to rust. I'm picking up a 1990 Chevy 2500 as a winter basher and I rented a 12x30 storage unit to keep the cruiser in. Now is when I'm going to start doing mods that I wouldn't normally do because it's not going to be my daily, so I will have ongoing projects that take longer than a day or a weekend. I will still be active on the forum just won't be driving my cruiser. This has been a tough decision but with my fj being from California. I don't want it to rust and this was my solution. A real bummer since I haven been able to hit the trail with my new tires. :(

My brother had sent me a picture of a Subaru STI (my other favorite car) and I liked the subie a lot. But I couldn't help but notice a 60 in the background. I am actually up in Idaho where the dealership is and I just went by there to talk to them about it. I am always looking lol. It's been sprung over on 35s, stock motor, 193k miles, snorkel, hella h4s, roof rack and an aftermarket head unit. It had been repainted at some point and the paint had lots of runs in it but I would stil like it. Until I heard the price. They want 18.5 for it. Here's some pics

Alright guys I am ready for my next mod, my tires will be ready for install the end of next week. And the next mod that is a must will be a whole headlight revamp, I am going to get a wiring harness from cruiser outfitters, then I am going to get my bulbs from sesquehana motorsports. Now is the question time, how do I get my harness? He doesn't have them listed on cruiseroutfitters.com, and my other question is I know I want the hella h4s, but which exact ones do I need? Could you guys show me the exact ones? That would be much appreciated!!!

So on the 33s you bought, did you have to lift anything? I've got the same F62, bought 31s last year just to get it up and running, but want to go a little bigger. Not looking for huge lift, as I just off road in the Big Bend Area, but didn't know if it was necessary. Thanks!

I am running my 33s with no lift, and original sagged out leafs. Works perfectly, zero rub even when off-roading, and it looks cool as heck

Well, as you may have seen on my other thread, I drove my cruiser for the first time in two months today. Last time I started her it was much warmer, and must not have been able to see it. I had exhaust coming from right under the rear drivers side door. Must be an exhaust leak. I am going to replace my whole system since I have some downtime, should I have a shop build up a system for me? Is it possible for me to gain any performance? is there a bolt in kit? The leak is pretty awful, and I'm sure my cat is probably broken and clogged so I am just trying to see my options. I am not wanting to fix the current system, I just want to go for something new.

I'm itching to get cruising again and I was looking at getting another 60. Just not sure if I really want a third car, so I'm looking at just building mine. My question is how capable is a fj62 with 4.11s, 33s, and an ome heavy duty lift. Do I have to go to a sprung over setup to get anywhere? Keep in mind I'm not a crawler at all! I'm just more of an expedition route, like take my cruiser into the mountains to a desolate lake to fish, or go out in the desert and go shooting. Also do I have to regear it? And realistically how needed is a locker? I can't believe I still haven't ironed out my plan, I just can't make up my mind. I don't know enough about these trucks yet :bang:
