SO we have a lot of new people joining the club and I figured we needed to introduce ourselves to them so they have some idea what we are talking about when we talk about someone who which you don't know who we are talking about but we do and this person we are talking about has some story that we all know about that you don't know about and have no idea what we are talking about or this person we are talking about has a certain personality which you have no idea who they are and what they are out which we do and you get confused and have no idea what is going on and we don't either and then everyone is confused.

So now that you understand all this here is what I know. I'm sure the others you don't know will fill in the rest and anything they say about me is a flat lie.

I'll start off with me. I'm the chatty one who hoards 40 parts, get's sick all the time and wears crazy hats. I'll also take a picture of anyone in their most embarrassing moment and post it on Mud. So don't do anything stupid and you have nothing to worry about. I was club leader for a while and now I just want to be a follower and let you do all the work.

Now that that is out of the way we need to talk about the Mafia. The beginning on the mafia started in a BI-LO parking lot. Chuck (cruisintiger) was stalking women and some how happened to spy this scrawny guy coming out of the store with a 4 pack of Gordons getting in a cruiser. He chased this guy John Paul (clemsoncruiser) down and after 10 min of running JP got tired and Chuck finally introduced himself. That was the beginning of the Clemson Mafia. From there they recruited many Clemson students. Non of them had any money so every thing they did to their vehicles involved duct tape and a who lot of luck. The mafia is known for doing stupid unsafe things and will usually break down on the trails a few times. But the club wouldn't be what it is today without them.

Chuck aka Cruisintiger. Heads up the Clemson Mafia. You will hear a lot of references to Chuck. He is known for really bad cooking. I mean really bad. Don't think I've ever seen him cook something that wasn't burned or undercooked. He's cheap. He has cruisers but they are in various states of repair. He is also the first person that will come help you if you have an issue. He also is good at riding coolers down the river and he is known for always drinking PBR.

JP aka Clemsoncruiser. JP is another mafia member. Without JP this club wouldn't be where it is today. He got us on Ih8mud and was instrumental in helping the club put events together. He also is known for duct taping everything and having vehicles that just barely run. He is also known for just wearing sandals and wrenching with no shoes at all. He has no sense of safety so never ride with him.

Rick aka BMThiker. He posted below but ignore all of that. He is that FJC guy who bought it and wheeled it like he stole it right off the showroom floor. I'm pretty sure he has broken everything at least twice on it. He is also known to take pictures so watch out. He is our token tech geek and always comes prepared. Always. Also his wife Cat drives a jacked up Grand Wagoneer. Usually you don't see ying without yang and most likely they have been to more wheeling/camping events than all of us combined. The are from Atlanta but don't act like it.

Steve aka Eventhough. What can I say that hasn't already been said behind his back. Steve is a good guy. Always up for wrenching and is our new token overland sponsor guy. You will hear references to juicebox. It's got something to do with Doritos and beer cans from what I can tell. He likes wrestling people. He will be the guy who drives to the mall with a roof top tent onboard along with a back seat full of everything you need for an apocalypse. He cannot help it as this is his day job. He is not handy with drilling things but does a fair share of wrenching. He also is map boy for the club and has run the club. He also runs from things that scare him so stay out of his way. You can always count on Steve to take the safer lines. That being said he will be the first one asking you if you need a beer at camp.

I'm just a guy that posts on this forum so i can sell my 40....i need to sell my 40 so i can buy a land rover to put my SEO stickers on!

He is also the lawnmower guy who can fix anything just like mcgyver. Give him a paperclip, rubber band and a pencil and he will make an automatic weapon out of it.

Gabe is the guy who can break anything! And many times has me repair it after his carnage has taken place

I'm the guy from Georgia that joined these yahoos after buying my first 4wd - I blame Heather for that. I've planned a lot of rides/events over the last 5 years and was the token safety officer for a little while (an uphill battle) :D

That was awesome Marshall....don't forget JP is also good at driving 3 wheel Cruisers over bridges and parking it safely on the holiday inn parking lot!

Yes it is true my skills behind the wheel of a vintage LandCruiser are legendary

I am the current leader of sorts. I am part of our NC group and have owned as many cruisers in the short time that I have been in the club (5 years) as some have owned in 20. I will buy sell and trade for whatever suits my fancy and I have himmed and hawed until I have settled on the FJ60 (second time around). You may or may not see me at meetings, and sometimes I make decisions. I'm not a big fan of giving certain members (they know who they are) power tools even if it is just to drill a hole in his own bumper.... But until September I'm the go to guy for anything you need or want to do, after that it'll be someone else...

I am David, I'm Prez of Lowcountry Land cruisers, and present events chair for UC. I try to wheel as much as possible, but the price of gas is going to slow this down a bit it looks like. I'm also "that Jeep Guy", as I wheel an '84 CJ-7 as well as my 62. I have also been a Scoutmaster for 20 years, and have 34 (about to be 35) Eagle Scouts under me. Therefore, I have to split my wheeling time with my Scouting time, or combine them.

I'm they guy who loves to wheel but doesn't have the balls to do it. I have a 100 and an FJ62, have been in the club for 5 years and have only been wheelin' 3 times.

But, I must say, I have the best lookin' FJ62 in the state of SC. Maybe even the WORLD!!!

I'm also really good at making officers of the club kiss and make up and/or get really mad at one another.

I am the guy who is constantly on mud. I am on mud at home, at work, even on vacation. I can break anything, just check my tcase rebuild thread. I am the breaker of bolts, destroyer of transmissions!! The military calls me when needing something field tested for ruggedness!! I can destroy it all and do not limit myself to just the things i own!! I am known to start $%^& and then sit back and watch them sling poo. I currently am the secretary and in by no means am i scared to suggesst things on the bod!! Think i am hell now, wait until next year when my son is thru with his surgery!!! U should be worried, very worried:grinpimp:

I am known by some as 'Juice Box.'

I have a Pig that I need to drive. Summer before last the wife and I drove it to the UP of MI and back.

I have a FJC that I drive a ton.

I hang with Rovers.

Marshall likes rainbows.

Jay is never around.

John Lee drinks fruity drinks.

JP and Chuck at least still post - Richard must have gotten lost.

Anyone heard from Gehn lately? He rebuilt a 60 diezel on a 62 frame with hand tools in 2 months.

Next time I'll see Scott is probably at GSMTR.

Wait a second - what is this about 'safer lines?' You haven't wheeled with me in a long time. Come with me to Snowbird Friday... :flipoff2:

I hereby nominate Gabe for President of UC next year....

Newby?

I am doc , or indian doc, my name is Kevin but I've not used it in so long that I doubt I would answer if you called me that. I am not a new club member but I have not been here from the first. I do appreciate the recounting of the antics of the Mafia and all the other actions of the club from the past. I wheel some when I can get my employer to let me off. There sort of pickey about duty and all that rot, so I often will be the member that ,opens a can of worms, and schedules something and them can't even get to the thing myself, but retirement and full time availability is not too far off. My current rig is a FJ-60 that is basically stock with a mild lift and locker. I guess my only antic that is worth recalling is sleeping with the racoon on the picnic table at the beach when I went to a club event(LOw Country Boil) on my indian motorcycle. It seemed to cause a few moments of merryment. ;) Oh I am also the club grump comes with the age and mileage..

Jay is never around.

I resemble that remark...

Also, second noted...Motion passed. Gabe is the first nominee... 6 months before nominations open up...

I don't show up to SC as often as I used to, lately only coming up for two things: Miami-Clemson football games and Rotel dip. Have a place off Hwy. 11 about 2 miles west of the 178 4-way stop. Will be up there full time as soon as the economy turns around.
