Good color choice! It looks like it is coming together well - lots of pretty parts you have there!

CAZ

Mustard yellow and 35, 36 or 37" tires on 15" beadlocks. Once I set the body back on, I'll lean some tires against it and see what fits best. I'm kind of leaning towards the 35's, but if they look too small, I'll go bigger. 12.5 wide bias ply and BB's for balance.

Same here. It's been awhile.

Here are a few of the completed anti-wrap bar. The bar itself is done. I still need to pull the rear axle and fully weld it in. Will probably wait for the lockrite before I tear it down for welding.

I also ordered a Series52 wheel to test out. Back spacing is 3.75" and I want to check fit before ordering the other four. I'll be welding beadlock rings onto these.

Thanks for the pictures...

I got my rear ready to go Saturday. I just need to get axle seals and then put it back together.

I need to work on the anti-wrap bar now before I get the brake lines run. Brake lines will all be new.

will take picts soon! I work too fast to take picts! (actually I just forget!)

Got the rear bumper done. Well, most of it anyway. Can't finish the tire carrier until I get my wheels and tires.

Planning to paint over Memorial Day. Time to get hot and finish the body work...:bang:

How's it going Aaron,
Yep. IPOR is the way to go. I could have found the components on my own, but much easier to get from IPOR at about the same cost.
I've been making new brake lines for the past few days. I hate junk flaring tools. Finally said heck with it and bought a good one from eBay made by Eastwood. It definitely helped bring my blood pressure back down... lol

Looking good Bill, On step at a time...x2 on the flaring tool...

Well, finally got the cut-n-turn done. It was much easier than I expected.

Well, it's cut and turned. Still need to drop the axle back out and weld it up.

I set it at 5 degrees. I'm hearing anything between 3 and 8 will work. Now I need to get a new set of rotors (or get mine turned) and finish cleaning up the knuckles. I have a complete knuckle rebuild kit, including HD inner axle seals from Marlin and the new plastic wipers (replaces the felt) from Longfield. Also got a set of backing plate eliminator spacers.

Here is one of the wheel/tires I got from Brian this weekend. They're 33"s but I'll be going at least 35's when I'm done. I'm going to trim about 5"s from the fender to make it look a little more centered.

It's getting there...

Happy Labor Day weekend everyone.
Got one step closer yesterday:

I did have some runs and orange peel. I think it adds character so I'm leaving them alone. My goal was a 20ft paint job and it looks good from 10ft, so I'm happy.

Still have the fenders, hood, rear doors and some odds-n-ends to paint. All the hinges and latches will be powder coated black.

Got some of the hardware powdercoated today. Pic of the rear doors installed.

Looks good Bill!

Thanks for the comments. Hope to have it inspected and registered in the next 30 days. Still have to form brake lines from the master to the frame and that will be it mechanically. I'll be bedlining the interior in the next week or two and will install the cage over the winter.

Thanks Jeffrey. That's a nice 40 you picked up too!

Helluva job!!!!

Bill- looks great, and my favorite cruiser color, too! Are you gonna wheel it as hard as you wheeled the FJ??? Can't wait to see it and wheel with you. Gary S

Thanks Gary. I see lots of black and red trails in my future... This is going to be my beater. It'll be Spring until I can get it down to Rausch. I'll break it in on some small trails around here this fall. I'll get the cage welded up over the winter (and tied into the frame) along with a rear locker. I'll end up putting an ARB locker up front sooner or later.
I'm having wheeling withdraw. I didn't get out at all this year. I'll make up for it next year.

Bill,
That is looking great...That is my fav color also. Can't wait to see it.

Very Nice Job.
