Hi guys. New member from NSW Australia. Been watching site for a while and found it full of great info. I've finally taken the plunge and started my resto. I have two FJ45's (196? & 197?). Have started resto of the 197? with the help of a donor HJ60 (2H non-turbo/5 Speed). Hoping this will be my daily driver. Not too fussed about correctness of parts, just wanting something that runs well and looks cool. I hope to learn things and iron out any major issues before I start the 196? resto in a few years. Thanks for having me

You can save a lot of money by not being a purest. Being able kludge stuff together is a great survival skill IMHO. Keep a journal and take lots of pic's/vids.

Welcome- I'm a newbie as well. I would agree with @charliemeyer007, As a former Marine, I like uniformity and originality, but it's an expensive route to be a purest-even though I live where labor is fairly affordable. Oh well, life is a journey!! Enjoy.
