Hey guys! Sorry for the delay been a crazy couple of days. I haven’t quite gotten it stripped down to the frame yet. As with any garage project life took over but I’ll get some good hours in this weekend.

I bought the rust bucket that was for sale up in Camp Verde. It ran and made it down here. I didn’t want to just patch it together so I have started something of a frame up restoration.

I’m in the easy phase now, bagging and tagging, tearing it down. Waiting to get some pricing back from the sand blaster for the doors and so on.

I know there’s some guys out there who could knock this out in a few months but I think it’ll be year or two before I’m driving this to any meet ups.

here’s where I’m at.
Interior stripped out
Front clip off
Doors off
Dash off
Wiring pulled forward

Where are you from, Midwest?

Originally, I live in central Phoenix now. Why?

Because nobody originally from this area would buy a truck with that much rust, takes they eyes of someone accustomed to seeing rusty vehicles to see the potential that you do. :flipoff2:

I grew up in northern Michigan, I dealt with my share of rusted vehicles in my youth.

it’s not so bad, thanks for not being another person telling me to part it out and recoup my purchase price.

There is nothing that can’t be repaired, looks like a good project. Consider starting a thread on it? It may help you stay motivated as the project gets long in the tooth.

2F is out. Whoever replaced the clutch stripped all the 12mm bolts. Had to drill most of them out. Finally got the bell housing off and the motor up on the stand. Tomorrow I will pull everything off the firewall empty everything out of the wagon and start pulling body mount bolts. I’m pretty sure they’re all going to snap but we’ll see.
