The Slee wiring kit was barely noticeable on my ‘97. Not worth the time to install.

Tried some high end replacement bulbs, which helped somewhat.

But Depo housings loaded with Morimoto D2S HID projector lamps were a huge increase in light output. We’ll worth the time and money to install !! Can’t recommend these highly enough.

Hey! I was wondering if you could provide me with links to all the products I need to build the headlights in your photo. I searched for the Morimoto D2s HID Projector lamps and saw more than one D2s. Also is there any other parts required to complete your above headlight build? I really appreciate the help! Also... is the retrofit easy? are there instructions anywhere? Thanks!@

@CleryCruiser I believe there is only one D2S at a time, they just increase the version number over time.

Is it easy? No, not really. It's time consuming and anxiety inducing. You have to hack up your brand new Depo housings in order to get enough clearance for the very long D2S projector lamps. I did mine a year ago and I think the 5.0 is even slightly longer than the previous version.

I think someone here sells the whole housing + Morimoto projectors already installed. @Luke111 maybe?

If you're going to do it yourself, I think you need the D2S projector kit with bulbs (5000K for me), ballast (35W is plenty), and wire harness (H4/9003), plus a shroud set (E46-R is most common, I think) and a lock ring tool. When I bought mine, it came with included black butyl rubber sealant, which you'll need to re-seal the housing.

The Depos are getting hard to find. I bought all my lighting parts at the Retrofit Source. They were great with helping get a full kit. The install isn’t difficult, but does take patience and care. Over heating the housings to can melt them. There are lots of how-to videos.

I put these quad projectors in my girl and they are exactly what my old eyes needed!

Any tips for getting through to Retrofit Source? I'm not sure exactly what configuration to get. Over the last several weeks, I have called multiple times and am always on hold for like 20 minutes until it asks me to leave a message. I've left messages and they don't return the calls. I've emailed them as well with no reply. I've read multiple times that this is the best place, but I'm getting frustrated and might look elsewhere to give someone my money.

that's unfortunate, they used to be great to talk to.

I've been to their location and they are not a big setup. Maybe they are even smaller now due to staffing issues.
