yep. i think i have it figured out though... take a read and let me know what you think...
hooked the tech II up to it and everything is finctioning like it is supposed to except for the fact that the heaters are running at a bit higher of a current than they are supposed to. still within the factory specs of .25 to 1.25 amps bit high when the engine is at operating temp. I ran a diagnostics test on the heater circuits with the motor runnign at operating temp and it failed because the heaters were running at .8 amps and the computer wanted to see them at .45 anyways, what i am getting at is that i think the sensors are too far away from the headers and they are runnign cooler than the computer wants them to so it keeps more juice running to the the heaters to warm them up.... causing the code.
so, i am going to put them closer to the headers right in the collectors when th ewelder is operational again (gotta dig it out of the pile of rubble from the u haul unload).. I figure i'll move them and see if the codes go away. if they do, i'm donee... if not, i am just going to get FIS to "hide them" they can make it so the codes are still stored, but te CEL is off. that way if it throws new codes the CEL still works.. just not for the ones that they turn "off" failure records will still be there though.
anyways, here's a question, in zeroes truck, how far were those 02 sensors from the collectors? on previous truck without codes were they any closer? what about this last one you did... hows it doing?
Yep, i am pleased with the numbers, especially since the last time i treated a truck like that while i was towing it gave me closer to 8mpg.. I drove the piss out of it man, and it ran like a champ.. i man big downshifts into third a few times to pass, and general debauchery along the way when i had to pass a jeep or rover

.
peace,
Marco
