Not sure where to post this, so I figured I would go with the local thread. My name is Mike Jones, I'm from Phoenix. I know a good portion of you guys already, but I am a first time cruiser owner. I just bought a 95 fj80 for the girlfriend to drive (she wanted an auto since her last car was a stick). Super nice truck, bought locally for really cheap considering it has 171k, lockers, and I had been looking for months at 80's above this price range unlocked... I have had dozens of yotas in the past, so im not completely new, just to cruisers. i'm looking to put a small lift and 33's on this cruiser to support our family (2 people, 2 giant dogs) runs. I already have an aluminum LS2 to swap into it if the factory drivetrain poo's out, but for now, this 4.5 seems to be very strong!

Here are a few pictures of my old and current rigs.

First is an 85 4runner on 37's with diamond axles, dual cases, and home built everything else...

second is an 87 4runner on tacoma width diamond axles, 3link front on coilovers, dual cases, 3rz swap, arb's, and a bunch of other goodies.

next is my 97 4runner daily driver. Soon to get coilovers and a new rear suspension.

then, the old lady's 95 fzj80

Missing is my first 4runner, my second crawler, and about 5 other toyota's (pictures are on another computer) I may update them later, if anyone is interested.

What's all that white stuff stuck to your truck in the 2nd picture? Just kidding - welcome aboard,

welcome!

I'm surprised this section hasn't banned snow pictures. We already have to many people in the valley. Don't need to advertise a couple of hour drive away you can be in the cool pines in the summer and snow in the winter (except this year:rolleyes:).

Nice find, welcome.

Last weekend 3/2/14 at my cabin 2.5 hours from Mesa.

Was up there myself. Had my FJ62 outside all day Saturday while it rained. Ate dinner only to go out later and find it covered with snow. To bad it melted so quick. First time since Mid November there wasn't any snow when we got there. But even that wasn't anything to write home about.

Welcome aboard!

Had the tiniest dusting of snow Saturday night at our place in Heber - more like dust motes than snow.

Thanks guys! That mystery white powder was from spring break 2012. One of my toyota buddies came out from PA for a week to do some wheelin on some of the table mesa trails and crown king. We heard there was a blizzard headed our way, so we camped in it. Some good 60mph winds blew most of the snow to the off of the pass that we camped at, but towers mountain got 30in from that storm.

I have about 300 more pictures, but for some reason the site keeps giving me an error when I try to post them. You guys are all out of luck..

forum rule: you have to have 10 posts before you can add more pics

I know this guy, so you all should know he's trouble... Mike's good people, has had a couple Toyota projects, definitely a good extra hand and knows a thing or 2 about 4 Runners and Hi-Luxs. And he's an AC repairman, which might be throwing him under the bus in AZ. Anyone find the Dislike button yet??
