New 45 project

Pics to come!!!

Just picked up a '64 45 LWB project with a High Performance 283 that I want to swap back to a desmogged 2f.

Based on other postings, I believe that a newer 2f will mate up to the stock 3 speed?

So, if correct, I am looking for a rebuildable complete 2f within a couple hours of Denver.

Also, send me a PM for an email address if you have high resolution pics of under the hood and interior that I can use as a guide for restoration.

I have one that is in a FJ55. It's a 1978 with 116K miles. Runs great and desmogged. I am pulling the entire drivetrain and prefer to sell it all as a whole. So, basically a 2F, 4 speed tranny, and t-case. It is located in Delta, CO (4 hours from Denver) at Proffitt's Cruisers. It will be pulled within the next few weeks.

PM me if you are interested or call me at 1-877-PROFFITT or 970-874-1272 9AM-5PM M-F MST.

I think I know of one that may be available in Fort Collins. I believe there is a 4 speed transmission and transfer case as well. Let me know if you want me to contact the owner and what exactly you are looking for.

Yep the 2F will mate right up to the 3spd trans.

Just need the F motor / 3speed bellhousing, clutch and flywheel. Piece of cake desmog too. Just takes a few plugs!

me, too!

Just found out that the 2f I have for my 40 project is probably bad, and someone last night stole my 4 speed and split tcase. Sigh. So now I need a 2f and tcase and tranny. I am in Denver, hopefully there are more around Colorado. :) And if you see anyone selling just a 4 speed and split tcase, hold them for me till I get there....

I do have a 3speed and other F parts if you need anything!

and if I find a running 2f then you can have mine. :) It was running in an FJ60 less than a year ago. Now it seems frozen. I am taking the head off tomorrow to see what is going on. I will post pics..

Are you interested in selling the 4 speed and x-fer too?

Yes, Please.
Need 2F/4 spped and non-split transfer :)

Proffitts pulls the 2Fs out of most of there cruisers. I would check w/ them. Probably have a few to choose from.

Slowly, but progress is being made. Found and rebuilt 2F and 4speed, frame is acid etched and zinc coated and ready for paint.

Searched and found some good info but no pics of a poly/plastic fuel cell located under the front portion of the bed.

Was thinking this 22 gal tank from Summit would work, and then as Mark suggested just run the fill neck up into the bottom of the bed.

Thoughts?? Comments??

I've got an H42 w/t-case, never been split! Sitting in my garage. I think they're out of a '74. I also have a 45LV gas tank that will fit under the bed in the factory spare tyre location. Everything is in Leadville, let me know if you're interested.

Might be kind of pain to fill the truck with fuel if you have your bed full of stuff---I would find a way to run it through the side of the bed. I am sure there are many options out there with a side fill.
