Got my (Edit - for phrasiology) Tall Skinnies installed today at Discount. They had them listed for 213, but honored their discounttiredirect price of $203. Plus, we had a new store opening in my neighborhood, so they knocked another $100 the total bill. Total cost with the kitchen sink was $1054.

Those are gonna dig like crazy!!! My brother has some 33 10.50 on a mini truck and he can leave dry dirt in a 2 foot deep mud hole.

Nice!!!

pretty

interesting to see in teh first pic how little meat is hanging off the rim on the side.

I may get 7" rims if I go 255 or less

Nice. I like my 255's on factory rims without spacers.
Keep us updated on noise and wear.

Yeah, I was considering spacers, but don't really think I will need them. We'll see. I'm due for an alignment, however....

Very nice!
I was just looking at those and thinking they would work well as a skinny tire option. I'm interested to hear what you have to say about them as well.

Anybody know if you can get that size but with a AT tread pattern?

Cooper and Toyo appear to have a none-MT tire in this size:
Cooper Tires DISCOVERER S/T 255/85R16 OWL 119N
Toyo Tires M-55 LT255/85R16/10

I am a bit amazed at how much these tires lifted the truck, it sits taller. So far (20 miles on them...) Road noise is not very perceptible. Out of the shop, could not be happier.

On another note, I am beyond pleased with the look. The wagon wheel is a much different look than wider tires.

I run the same size on my 4Runner. They work great offroad, especially the desert trails here around Vegas.

I'm in Vegas as well... was looking for a decent rock / mud tire.

not sure what you mean by wagon wheel? i've only heard wagon wheel used to describe rims. a skinny tire is called a pizza cutter?

Potato, PotAto. I bet you do know what I mean.:grinpimp: You say Pizza cutter, I say wagon wheel.

i didn't know what you meant. when you mentioned skinny tires in post 9, i took a wild guess. i expected to see bfgs on one of these rims

Same here. Coming from a 40 and 60 series background I was expecting to see the old style, white spoker (wagon wheel) style.

Detour on the way home

I took a detour on the way back from dropping the kids off this morning...

Looks good,

Is there a bit taller size? I love the look of super skinny tires but would like a 35’’ or so.
