i love reading your post. its like i can hear you and see all your hyperness and hand gestures! CLASSIC!
Always something new and innovative to see installed or being made! looking forward to seeing the new mods in the future!
Good Job Shane!

I like where this is going! Sorry for the late pm reply!

Man, no worries at all - I'm the epitome of delayed response when I get overwhelmed at work/family duties. I appreciate the reply and info. I'm leaning toward a set of SOR sliders. Haven't been able to locate a rebuild kit/parts for the factory ones and would hate to get them and spend the next 2 years trying to recondition. . .but ultimately fail related to a NLA parts.

Shane should never have attended the car show.....

Blah, blah, blah. . .you better hold your britches when you get your ass to the new property. And yes - probably would've been best to stay away but you know the drill. . .get on the wagon, jump off the wagon, get on the wagon, jump off the wagon.

Insanity at its absolute best! Looking forward to the madness.

Insanity, creativity - they go hand-n-hand. What's the fun of learning to fly if you have to use autopilot all the time:steer:

Badass :bounce2::bounce:

I want to see more pictures of that grill installed! That thing is gnarly!

Copy that - if it's not raining the entire weekend, I'll take some more pics and post them up.

Man - remember the movie '12 monkeys'? You and I would be like two of brad pitt's characters if left to our lunacy. Thank you for the compliment and
Squirrel, happy, bike, run, shoot, eat, where's Mel, keys, where are my shoes. . .lol:moon:

Ha! And after Page #32 things were never the same

Thx, theron. Make no mistake about my build - I have the crazy ideas but they become reality from the incredibly talented friends, fabricators and vendors.

Those of you that have read any part of my thread know. . .nothing in my build comes easy (100% my own doing, hehe).

So - have the two axles underneath my rig already. In addition, I have two freshly coated axle housings. That's 4 FJ60 housings, 2 of which are fully loaded, with the rear have an ARM locker.

In my 'dreams' of doing a lot of this myself, I purchased full rebuild kits for the front & rear axles. When I say 'full', I mean FULL. Aside from the basics, I have new nuts, bolts, spacers, washers - basically, if it was going to be loosened or touched, it was getting replaced.

I also have full front/rear brake kits, again, FULL, sitting in boxes on my parts shelf.

As it stands, I need to ship TorFab my front axle that's under the rig, plus the powder coated housing, plus both 3rd members, plus my rebuild kits.

As with most things I think about selling, I have no idea what to ask - or in this case, if there's even a need for the equipment I'm thinking about putting on the chopping block.

Any thoughts?

Thanks-

Shane

Ya don't sell the stuff.

Almost every time I sell something truck wise I regret it. Especially anything related to the NLA or soon to be NLA parts. And as I am sure you know, some of this stuff that is still available is NLA to the masses unless you just how and where to get it. Granted it doesn't do you any good just sitting on a shelf collecting dust but when you got it you got it and when you don't and can't get it, ya well that sucks.

Weren't you talking a 6.2L at some point? Back burner or am I tripping?

Cheers

Just ship the stuff.

Are you going for chromoly birfields, axle shafts & hub gears on your front axle?

I run an ARB locker on my front 60 axle and it's stock, so it's def not necessary, you just gotta be smart about using it....was just curious if you were going alllllllll in

@sschruff
Lets talk...I think i'll be needing to do rebuilds on my rig...and i drive within two miles of Tor's shop on a daily basis.

K

K-

Sounds good. I'm navigating through the ACA FUBAR this week (relentlessly) but free Saturday. Gimme a call if/when you have time. Word.

That's what I'm debating at the moment - and you know my motto has been pretty much. . .all in or nothing, lol.

So yea... I'm not really smart enough to contribute much here but I just wanted to say everything about this thread is amazeballs! I'll be over here on the sidelines checking in regularly.

@joebattle1 = thx, man, much appreciated. And when you make it to the sidelines, you'll find me sitting in my chair, watching and learning as well. I'll put a beer on ice for you.

But I don't drink manly beer - Crabbies Orange & Ginger Spice - let the gay/rainbow comments commence =)

I hear ya! Prob the right time to do it if funds allow.

I considered it but the stock setup is strong enough right now, def stronger than an IFS rig, so I'm dancing with it.

Agreed on the selling of NLA stuff. Axles, however are different - as all of the hardware I have is still available (right?).

Yes, 6.2L is THE engine I've decided to install - but the that will be the final project. Mechanical, dash, interior, brakes, axles, paint, rack, and a few other mods, then I'll schedule the open-heart surgery for my baby.

Ok - working on several custom jobs. Well, I'm not really working - more of a planning and begging ppl to take on the custom fabrication ideas I have, hehe.

Now, if I can just persuade Dave and find someone truly talented with custom aluminum fabrication. . .

Only trouble I can see with the Prinsu Design racks is you can't attach a roof top tent to 'em, at least not on their FJ80 model without heavy customization of the RTT itself. I def can't easily see how you'd attach a James Baroud or Howling Moon for example.

Not sure if that was ever something you might want to do down the road...

Looking at your thread like..
500px-Anchorman-well-that-escalated-quickly.jpg
