Ha! I thought it was an H or 2H at first, then noticed the spark plug wires...and the carb... Still you have to admit that the 2F and the H valve covers do look similar.

Most of the old 2F's are gone over here in PNG--people seem to prefer the diesels because (until recently) diesel was a little cheaper at the pump. Some of the old H/2H engines are still soldiering on, though. I still have a running F135 and a complete, rebuildable 2F.

You make me worry:) everything about FJ40 I learned from this forum. my 2f from 1976 has f1.5 head from 1974. It has “4” and a date (0422) . It also should have a model number somewhere.
