Yes, it is mine. The oil goes where ever gravity takes it. There are two plugs; one on both the top (fill) and bottom (drain). According to York, the compressor can be mounted any way except upside down.

I saw that posted hatfieldcb, thanks for the link. This won't work for me though. I need to move everything to the pass side to make room for my new p/s pump.

Alright figure this one out. It was taken off an F.

This is the only pic I was given with it installed. What the heck is up with the pully and the secon plate? Maybe for an alt or a mount to the water pump? But those two holes at the bottom of the main plate I have no Idea and the pulley has me boggled.

Condensor say Clardy. The fan unit has Made for Toyota of something on it.

Looks like the second plate with the stud is for a adjuster bracket and the pulley is an idler pulley used to adjust the tension of the belt as there is no adjustment in the pump bracket. How it all mounts up is a mystery to me. Is this for factory AC?

if you put it on its side they(york) recomend that the intake be on the up side

I'm in the slow process of attempting to mount a York and Saginaw PS Pump combo from an early 80's Volvo 240 on the drivers side of my '77 40. The set-up from the Volvo includes a bracket that mounts the PS pump above the vertical compressor. It is very tall. I have fabbed a bracket for the bottom of the compressor and need to add tabs to the bottom to mount it in the smog pump location. I may also need to add an idler pulley between the crank and York compressor to adjust the belt. See the below site to pics shamelessly swiped from the tech links.

This set up will require relocation of the radiator support rod and would probably not work with a Saginaw PS Box. My 40 currently has mini truck PS.

I will try to follow up with my progress in a few weeks.

UPDATE:
The Volvo combo with brackets is very tall. Early measurements looked like it would be close. The radiator support would have had to be removed. The air cleaner would have had to be cut back as well. Just too much work. So I mounted the Sag PS pump to the smog pump bracket using the Volvo brackets slightly modified. The York will have to go on the passengers side.

I vaguely remember seeing a setup like this a long time ago. I thought the triangular plate bolted to the back of the compressor, and acted as a brace, with the other end bolting about 1/3 of the way back on the head.

The large hole in the middle of the plate was to get a plug wire through.

It was a while back though, so I might be way off.

Pardon my ignorance, but is this application for A/C, on-board air, or . . .? Whatever, is there a noticable loss of power from an F engine when the compressor is engaged?
