97 Supercharged,180k, few months back started sputtering at 3500 rps & up, surging, like its losing fuel, new fuel filter & pump, new cat, no codes, what next? any suggestions? Thanks michaelgt3@gmail.com

Not sure how ECM would get uncalibrated, was gonna check plugs & wires, MR2 Turbo Plugs? Which air tube? Vacuum?

Sounds like the engine is torquing and straining the main harness; it's worth replacing it for a peace of mind $$$.
Check the part of the cable harness that gets crispy crittered by the EGR. Most tend to wrap this area with heat tape.
Can you duplicate this by power braking going forward?
How's the distributor cap and rotor? Any cracks or tracks of carbon?

Does the CEL bulb light when you turn the ignition from off to on? Put a code reader on there just in for grins, don't just rely on the CEL light.
There is no "air tube" if it is s/c. The "air tube" is replaced with an aluminium "snout" and a bunch of short large diameter hoses. Check all those hoses and make sure the hose clamps are tight and secure. Check all other hoses/vacuum lines and clamps to/from the s/c.
You can manually move the harness around near the EGR while the engine is running to see if you can re-create any issues.
As per Ali, check and replace distr cap, rotor, plug wires (including to the coil) if they are old/original. Pull plugs and check them.

Found a slight obstruction from air filter can to Intake, back to 90%, but still a little surging all throughout rpm range, ordered new plugs, probably gonna replace rotor & cap as well
What do you mean by surging? In neutral will it rev to redline?
