I posted earlier my reasons for not being able to help. Specifically Ava, our 8 y/o daughter being in the hospital. Just a quick update: Ava was in surgery for about 9 hours today. She is out now and resting peacefully in the ICU. Her vitals are good. It will be a long recovery but she's on track.

I've been pleased with A1 Exhaust in Fort Mill but I think @forrest5000 found someone in the Belmont area that does good work for even less than my guy.

It did but I took it off a while back and haven't replaced it yet. Not sure if not having it in would have anything to do with that either.

you can just take it off for testing and see if it affects the engine running. The hose is there for filtered air instead of just being open to the elements.

I have been there and back late last week. Unfortunately I had to bring back the carb cause I could not get the idle part of it to work at all. I think some junk got back in it but will know more once I open it up. We got the cigarette lighter to work now. So I could get power for my Afr gauge. It was at 90 something when it should have been 14.7 . Farthest down I could get was 30 something. I will get it right. Then send it back.
