$42.6k seems a bit on the high side for an 06 even with 38k miles. I know this is an LC and has more miles, but for example, here's an 07 for $5k less on the asking price. Keep in mind 1) V8 SUV's aren't selling fast at all right now and 2) miles are nothing for a vehicle designed to last 300k. In other words, don't put a special value on in because of the low miles, it's almost irrelevant when it comes to these trucks.

I do agree completely with TXANM, but a ticket and go look at the thing yourself! At the end of the day, your eyeballs will trump 1,000 pictures and inspections.
Color seems to drive the pricing pretty significantly...shallow I know but true!! White and black seems to have a premium.
Got John, a Mud member in Laredo looking at the truck in the morning. He seems extremely sharp and has promised to check it closely. I will make sure its solid before I purchase it.
What this and other situations like it continue to indicate is that you should not buy a truck without seeing it yourself. I have bought three TLC's out of state and highly recommend that one buys a plane ticket to go see and drive the truck in question before writing the check. Yes, it might cost you a few a few bucks, but relative to the money spent on a truck over the life of your ownership, it really isn't that much.
JohnR is a super guy for going to look at it for you, but that's sort of a tough spot to put a fellow in.
So what were the issues that the honest and competent sales drone overlooked?
Pre-owned LX470's and V8 Land Cruiser's are selling very well...most are being shipped over to Russia ...most last just a few days on the lot in our area
I work for a Lexus Dealership and would be happy to run the service history of any LX or LC your interested in.

Nice job JohnR!

It was a no strings attached deal for John, I am an adult and realize the risks.
rScotty said:I just last month bought a 2006 Lexus LX470 with 91K miles for my wife. It was substantially less money - but there are lots of Lexus in Colorado so they tend to be less. And Lexus was willing to continue the warranty since they had always serviced it. We looked at quite a few including 4 470s at the Lexus dealer. Most were a little less $$ (10 to 20%) than the one you are looking at but with higher mileage. Most all had significant warranty remaining. One example was a certified pre-owned 2007 at the Lexus dealer. At 60K it still had 4 years and up to 100K miles with an additional 20K option for $2K. What I'm saying is that for the price you see from the Texas Toyota dealer you can get at no cost to you Toyota's certified pre-owned warranty which is bumper to bumper and for a 2006 LX it basically goes for 3 or 4 more years or 100K miles.
The deal looks fine otherwise. The extremely low mileage is certainly a plus.
Get the warranty and go get the car....If he will not do the complete Certified Pre-owned warranty then run away from the deal. In the LX you'll love everything about it except possibly the lack of driver's legroom - but that's the price you pay for a smaller 3 row car and you are probably familiar with that anyway.
