Here’s what they did…

you beat me to the punch @RUSH55 ..

I had M10 nuts welded under the floor and 2 x UNF 7/16 holes. theres a 60x100x3mm spreader plate behind the top two bolt holes to help spread the load

Partial bracket in place.

its 6mm mild steel. I had some box section and the spare wheel mount from the BJ73 donor I cut the wheel mounting face off and welded together. It's setup to fit my split rims and 16x6 chrome LX rims but need to do some more mods so my +30 offset 80 split rims fit.. I am still yet to fab a rear bar and swing out but figure I'll keep this in place for when I dont need to use 100% of the cargo space for other stuff..

I now have to figure out where to put the spare tire

I do stuff and have had plenty of issues but still don't feel the need to carry a spare 24/7.
Call Kurt @cruiseroutfit 801-563-1277 and order the ARB tire plug kit, that and a little ARB air compressor will get you out of 99% of what you are likely to get yourself into and take up way less room.

Another version.

Those tire plug kits and pumps are great when you walk out to your car in the morning and the tire is flat. Even then, you still have to pull the tire off, look for the problem, maybe find it, pull it out, install a plug, and hope it holds.

Many times when getting a flat at highway speeds, by the time you realize, slow down, and get off the road, the tire sidewall is toast from the abuse and heat. Even with TPMS systems that the man makes us buy now, I see cars pulled over with shredded side walls on the highway.
