Nice- now there is some random chance that i might get to see this rig in person!!!

No need for random - Once I get it & settled,... Perhaps we could run some trails together.

I haven't joined yet, but you should check out seattle cruiser heads. Maybe I'll see you at a monthly meeting someday!

Appreciate the info - I'll check it out.

I'm very cognizant of the fact that I have an ICON, & not an original/real Toyota FJ40. I also appreciate & respect those that do (have the real deal), & who take pride in their vehicles, & have their own clubs/organizations.

I'm not an interloper trying to have/be something I aint,... like some distant, annoying relative.

Perhaps I could hang w/ a particle group,... or maybe they'll eventually adopt me :hhmm:,... but I'm not presuming anything.

However, I do appreciate the responses & feedback I've received - Very Cool!

Cheers!

Anybody know ball park what it would cost to have them build a FJ44?

Every Icon they build seems to fall between 90 and 150K

i live near seattle and as all on mud would love to see your rig up close .
i bet all the guys at arb in renton would like to see it too.

Oh wow! I am kinda speechless and breathless :)

Thanks for sharing these pics! Its amazing to see an ICON in the flesh (i.e. apart from the official pics and press coverage) and good to know that people other than the Warren Buffets get these....

I do have a request for a video of the rig on how it performs and handles on the street and offroad. I have only come across one non-official video of the ICON and it was some badass moves in the sand which made we want to see more.... whenever its convenient or possible for you would be lovely for myself and many others I am sure!

All the best! Hope you enjoy this for a long time to come! Thanks again!

PS: While I do follow the logic and respect the sentiments, I do feel that it would be quite inappropriate to discriminate the ICON as not being a true Toyota. With the background, the ICON philosophy and the kinda work that the TLC chaps put into designing and executing this range, I cannot help but feel that its probably a truer Land Cruiser and a Forty than many others out there. Heck they would probably keep it all Toyota if they possibly could, but for me badges do not matter as much as the heart, which I know is in the right place out here! Cheers!

Thanks Baltoro!

I'm a member of the Northwest Overland Society - The group does numerous trail runs & extended off-road trips. Lot's of pics & some video gets taken/made in the process.

If/when I get anything worth posting - I will.

Thanks again for the kind words & feedback!

Cheers!

Absolutely fantastic. Exactly what I would do when I win the lotto! Enjoy

Very nice ride, you will be really happy you had all the extras done now.
Only thing not shown that you may want is a skid plate ?

What a great thread! Thanks for posting up the details of the build. I've always lusted for a ICON, but until I get a few more promotions at work, I'll stick with my 71 FJ-40 in all of its rusty gloriousness. Great looking color btw.
