what size tires are you running with the spartans? How does the ride feel with them?

Im running 33's.

The locker is awesome! When Im in 4hi and 4lo, it feels like the tires are glued to the trail. No slip at all.

When in 2hi, man, its noisy... "clank, clunk" in every corner... everybody looks like there is something wrong or broke. I think this is caused by the drivers heavy right foot...

Overall, I love this locker!

I thought I had read that the lockers can cause some problems on wet roads and around corners when not engaged. Do you find this to be true? This is one of the things that is on the "to do list" for when I grab my LC. I live in N. NV and right up against the mountains so we get snow a couple times a year and some ice/wet roads. I am worried that if I go with cable lockers instead of air lockers (big price difference) that I may end up having issues on the roads during the winter.

Full metal Jacket

Man I love the rig it is really coming along. Ive been lurking for a while waiting to see the cluster turn into a something friggin immaculate.

I know this is off topic but were you in the Corps or the Navy? You seem like your friendly neighborhood DevilDoc.

Great Rig, Super Jeal

More updates!

New NG-R bucket seats (RECARO knock off). I’m impressed with the quality and comfort so far. To be honest, any new seat is gonna be a huge improvement over the shot OEM seats and these seats have good reviews in the import/compact forums.

Made new adapter bases for the seats using 1.25” square tube, grade 8 hardware and the OEM slider brackets (used same seat holes as well).

After the seats install, noticed the OEM 16” steering wheel was too close to my legs specially when getting out of the truck. So I placed a visit (again) to my local racing shop and picked up this Tenzo Turismo 350mm (13.75”) steering wheel (MOMO knock off). Again, I’m impressed with the quality and comfort so far. Used a MOMO 7713 hub (adapter).

The Tenzo horn button WAS NOT compatible with the MOMO hub, so I decided its time for a custom horn push button…
Actually a marine (stainless) momentary push button and a piece of kydex.

Couple of pics of the driver seat and steering wheel relation. Pretty comfortable ride if you ask me.

Father’s Day present: PUMA 12V Air Compressor. Not tiny and definetly not light, but the little bastard can PUMP!

Cargo Area- back seat up

Cargo Area- back seat down

For the connection used 4ga cable and a 60amp maxifuse. Grounded to chassis.

Added the fuse holder on the right (alum branch) for the PUMA compressor.

Hands down the best off the shelf 12volt compressor out there. No affiliation, just very impressed and satisfied customer.

Oh, nice build too TacDoc. My Puma resides on the right side of my cargo area.
How's the cabin temps with no carpet, can you feel it on your legs?

It gets hot near the exhaust tube, more noticeable on long trips.

Awesome stuff!

I like those seats. I don't know how you get in there over those bolsters though haha.

I've never heard of those compressors before. I'll need to check them out.

Thanks for updating us :)

I've read that Puma is making all the compressor pumps for the "better quality" Chinese compressors...
HiJack off.

Love the seats and steering wheel. The steering wheel really gives the whole dash a much more updated look (Along with your previous mods). Everything looks great.

Typically I do not like those ARB bull bars on our fj60/62 as I do not think they match the rest of the body all too well. With your truck you made every thing look so nice. Really great job you did there. Looks like you have some great places to explore too. And a nice looking family. Really a great truck you have.

Outstanding build! I have a red 60 myself and love the color. Top notch work and thanks for sharing!

I have the same gaping body seam on the right side... it really annoys me. I wonder if they came like that from the factory?

WHEELS? What are those wheels man? Please divulge
