Glad this topic came up…my mirrors suck on my 40. They are the plastic ones that have the two small screws with the embedded nuts. Have tightened them as much as possible but the passenger door side pushes back at 50 or so. On top of that, while not convex, the view is a little distorted. I think I should change them to the ones you have…the look really nice on the truck…. @OlYellr may I ask where you had gotten these ..was it all from the same supplier? I am discovering only bits and pieces

I’d have to look on my thread, but I got the replacement heads that work on the arms I think you have for not a lot of dollars.

Toyota oe and a wee mod. Convex and work/look great.

The black mirrors on his truck are Toyota euro-spec 40 mirrors. I have a set myself. City Racer used to sell them (where I bought mine) but I don’t think he can get them any more.

As a guy who sometimes drives a big truck and knows what a benefit a lot of large mirrors can be, those little convex mirrors are amazing. I have a set on some old school arms, mounted on my pre ‘74 door hinges and they were great for wheeling as well as interstate visibility.

Yeah, I have the Euro Mod ones.

I got mine from Amayama back in the day as they were less expensive that CruiserTEQ sells them. Not sure that calculus is true anymore.

Anyway, last I saw CruiserTEQ still had them.

(Though I would like to get a spare mirror just in case I do something stupid … again)

I installed these and can say they are rock solid 87902-60030 Arm 87901-60011 Flat mirror I even tested the arm by laying my 40 on its side and the arm did not break lol. Glass not so much

Well yes , yes it does ! ha

I removed that mirror and arm assembly this weekend. I kept the arm 😲 I am such a hoarder

The beauty of the mirrors mounted on the w/s hinge is they fold out of harms way, so you can't catch a tree or something else. You just have to remember to move them b4 opening the hood.

No worries at all.

For a while I was sporting both types.

Where is the fall crawl you mentioned. Apparently I don’t have enough after just committing to Big Bend in Tx in November

It made me smell gasoline.
Im just glad it wasn't a rusted out fuel line or something like that. How about that nifty fuel cut off valve ;)

I have a set of those for when my doors and top are off and they are pretty good. I did peel the rubber off of both mirrors by scraping them on trees/brush when wheeling.

Saturday- got to where I needed to be to by 7:30 to harvest grapes for crushing and wine making

It was hot at humid AF. Found my motivation. I would tuck it up ahead a few plants and work my way to it

Some knuckle head brought these. For those that don’t know, Malort is a Chicago thing (drink). The best way I can describe it is liquid Chernobyl. Stuff is nasty.

Went to Omaha and met Dave Sunday - he got this cruiser a few months ago. The timing was sooo whacked. Set the timing and did the carb and runs so much better.
