I LOVE the drawers ...... perhaps second favorite mod.... to the headers/exhaust. they are jsut really well built and allow me to carry way too much of the stuff " i just have ot have" and kepp it secure and safe.

Not sure ARB has a huge advantage over the lesser known, and was really impressed with the Goose gear stuff but that is another level up...

the sliding top really makes the fridge much more accessable as well. in fact I'd do sliders on both if I was going to do it again for the incremental $$...

and they get a HUGE thumbs up from the wife..... and the dog loves that his bed fits right over them perfectly with 2nd row folded down and the fridge in ..... they do take up alot of room if you have kids or haul stuff on a regular basis...

I had a light rattle in one but I did Rattle trap on the metal sides and that totally fixed it.

a few things in between too much travel....

Escape gear seat covers for the rear seats - german shepard approved... ! very nicely sewn and fit really well.... might order a set for the fronts for the winter - summers in TX require the ventliated seats....

and a new baja S8 40" LED bar - the first one somehow got water in a few cells..... BD replaced it with a whole new one, no questions asked - exactly why I invested in their product..... like the VisionX lights I run they stand behind their stuff 100%....

hoping to get her into the shop to get all the suspension mods done in the next week or two...

E - whats the skinny on getting the MS spacers to bolt up - any issues and if not what was the correct part # on the extended bolts?
MY MS bolts did not seat properly. thanks man

I'm thinking of getting a Dobinson bar, how are those filler pieces under the headlights held on? Looks like the one on your driver side doesn't line up that well?

I ended up not being able to source ones...... or lost interest. Instead I've gone to a set of 18MM spacers that are bolt-ons....

hoping to get those on next week once I'm home and will get some pics up...

It works well - my bumper took a hard hit during hte floods driving off a loading dock in the water..... didn't see it.... so it's going in Monday ot get straightened up..... short of that it fit well - rubbery sort of thing with 3 slotted bolts to allow for some flex.

I'm happy with the Dobinson for the price and use - I did remove the lower skid plates as they were rusting quickly....

For anyone wondering..... a 37 JUST barely fits on SLEE's rear bumper - although it actually wedges nicely against the carrier and stiffens things up.

E - did you end up getting your suspension tweaked just right? what did that entail and any pics to share
thanks

Nope still waiting to et her in.... she's seeing the therapist on the 12th........ will keep you posted as I'll be heading to BiG bEnd the next week for a full shakedown...

added a few things to that end today... very excited for the Ex Awn - and wa stoked to find that the mounting plates fit perfectly on the side panels of the Prinsu rack.... literally 20 minutes to mount it up.

added a few deals in honorarium to my old 40 series.... and a much needed bottle opener...

numbers uncorrected aren't stellar - but hard to know the gains for the headers and exhaust in total without a baseline which Kooks didn't get. Not sure what the driveline loss would be - but I'd assume at least 35-40% ? Thoughts from those with more experience ?

Like you said, lots of factors are at play when finding power (or loss). For what it's worth, here's my numbers with 4.88s and 33.5" tires.

Peak HP was 310, peak TQ was 317.

You really won't see power increase with exhaust, same with air box changes. To get more air in you really need to get into changing the intake manifold (super simple way of thinking about it) or force induction. To get more air out, you need to get into a fair amount of valve train work.

Have fun at Big Bend, I grew up there, enjoy big sky country.

Agreed - the headers ( kooks and cat deletes made a good bit of gains ....the TRD box likely was only noise but it sounds good.... we'll be Sc'ing her down the road I'm sure..... the 4:88's helped get her back to normal but i think a 35.5 / 36'ish tire and sc'er will be the end game.... likely a 325/65/18to get the power down..... she'll spin all of the 37's now.....

I think you've seen my dyno #"s - not what I'd hope for but they were at 95 degrees and heat soaked... but real for what I might be running.

Yeah, the SC will be the ticket. My buddy and I got his Tundra 5.7 to put 520 HP and 550 TQ down to the rear wheels when we were all said and done. That's wasn't possible with a Rotos style supercharger (Magnusun). We went to a Centrifugal type supercharge as they are a bit more efficient. Something to think about going forward. Rapido is definitely coming along nicely.

cut a bit more fender liner this morning before heading off to the airport - almost no rubbing now other then hard lock against the KDSS.
hoping all the parts arrive by next week so I can get her finished and determine IF the 3/4" body lift will be needed...

with 600 miles on the Nitto's I have to say I'm impressed at how they run - 38lbs seems to be the right pressure for ride quality.

The truck looks really cool, but it doesn't look like you have any uptravel at all especially if you put bumpstops in which you likely did/should have. What's the goal with the 37s? I hate to be that guy, but it almost seems like you should have gone with something like a JKUR with the type of mods you're adding to the 200!

Thanks for the note on the tire pressure - they were at 34lbs cold - moved them up to 38, but much of the bulge was due to the angle I suspect.

Very impressed with the Suspension after getting a chance to put 200 miles on her over a widerange of roads and 15 miles of dunes and dirt.... the Icons really are smooth...... I found setting them on the middle of the range for high speed highway driving makes her much "sportier" and planted..... going to soft on the beach / dirt roads was perfect and took 2-3 minutes

The Dobinson bar is really growing on me - as some noted it does seem to have less over hang then the other options, but hard toi know by how much... the clearance from the body and fenders seems more then enough but I'll keep an eye on it.... like the TJM it used a filler panel under the headlights. I'm torn on painting it bodycolor as I originally intended.....

Got the TEq emblem that they painted on last night..... much better.View attachment 1358411

I'll post up better pics once she's cleaned up -

Where did you get the black land cruiser badge!?!?!?

haha - agree 37's are for sure the limit on the truck, but the travel is still there... the nose needs to go up another inch plus to get it in the right spot but waiting to get the diff drop in before i turn the coilovers up... other then a bit of scuffing on the body mount brace on hard turning the tires move fully... and with the tundra front arms the marginal loss of uptravel due to the larger bumpstops is minimal...

that said I'm debating dropping to a slightly smaller tire just due to clearance.... an inch makes a lot of difference in where she fits for parking.

as for the Jeep reference.... yes- tried one of those after 11 Toyota's .... I did a fully built Metalcloak JKUR but it was souless, albeit very capable.

the LC meets the need for ability to cover ground, be reliable and carry all the stuff I want easily plus a large GSD...

cheers
