haven't done my 40 yet, but in my 60, no problem...sucky thing is, i gotta try hard to do a doughnut now. if you just drive normal, you probably won't notice it.

I have driven it in the snow and ice and it definitly is better.

In 2wd on snow and ice mine likes to loose the ass end all the time. Doing dounuts is no problem in 2wd. Now in 4wd I hardly notice it's there. I wouldn't say it's better, it's just different. When I had this lockright in the rear of my 60 it wasn't nearly as noticable as in a swb. my .02

i've always heard that because if you spin both tires you slide easier (coefficient of kinetic friction) then you would with one wheel just rolling (coefficient of kinetic friction).

read rolling friction at the bottom

I make my wife nervous when I'm in 2wd sliding around corners taking her to work. LOL I have to be careful not to flip the cruiser all the way around. It's not nearly as fun though in 4wd.

This thread should be a sticky since this topic comes up every other day!

If they start slippin you got it wrong and it will fail soon. If you get no popping but the loud bang on pavement every onceinawhile then it will last a long time .
