looks great, they look tough too! how long until you get to go out and test'em?

Very nice!
I made mine and nothing is more satisfying than:
a) people asking you where you got them and mistaking them for the higher profile brands.
b) slamming them on a rock for the first time, cringng, then looking down and they actually worked!

Good work!

I like the looks. My 2 cents would be to go get a magnaflow cat, cut out the stock cats, and make the outrigger straight for more clearance. I have a 14" magnaflow turbo cat under mine ($197 installed) and it makes the slee sliders look silly with nothing there on the PS anymore...tucks up completely.

That's probably Not legal here in Cali.... I luv Cali but I hate the Smog laws here!!!

Uh just as an aside.... what suspension/tire combo are you running? Your truck looks exactly like I want mine to look :p

Oh yeah, great job on the sliders too!! :D

Final 1997 FZJ80 sliders

Ok I'm wrapping up this post by showing the final sliders completed on my 1997 FZJ80. Hope this thread has or will help anyone who is considering building there own sliders. What's been great about this project is that we build two sets of sliders for both side by side as well as inline cat's so it gave Jason and I the opportunity to design the two different cat brackets.

I understand that some feel it’s not worth building your own sliders, but I highly recommend it. As for cost as mentioned before we built both sets of sliders for under $450 total for two sets..... Just shop around your local steel yards.
