I'm already crying...for almost eight years now!!

I'm not crying yet... But, I've been upset for going on 20 years... It's time for change... But, not the change we're being offered... That's not change... Just illusion.

Technically... While I have my seats out, i'm going to change the driver's seat to allow me to more comfortably drive, once I grow up... I think I will also devise a way to lay the seat back down, when I want to relax.

It took a revolution to make this country great, it will take another one to make it great again.

but back to more important things.... I think I found your problem - you're missing your cat

I haven't missed my cat since my girls grew up and left home!!

Political discussions belong in P&R, under Chat. But, you are right... gridlock is a good protector, assuming we don't have a House full of nuts. Nevada definitely has some AssenbleyNuts!!

Technically, I'm gonna try to get my rear harness fully connected today... just gotta be sure I wear goggles and my plastic eye patch and don't lay directly under where I'm working.

The Advil kicked the finger pain somewhat.. I think the cauterization pain is worse than the cut... we'll see how I do...

DaBoise and I just walked a mile... Chester is doing very well and Gunner always does very well.

I've owned one cat in my life, once I got a dog I never went back to cats...

good luck with the harness.... break a leg (because it's all that's left that's not injured, lol)

I can't see the good in cats...

The harness is hooked up I've validated everything works. I still need to crawl under and tie everything securely, but I'll wait until just before my other eye goes under the knife. Need to put the skid plate back in too.

Next is to hookup the towing plugs on both ends... That'll be easy, but I need some hi-heat heat shrink tape and loom wrap and they won't be here for a couple more days.

In preparation for my right eye surgery tomorrow, I crawled under 44 and made sure I had the rear harness secured along the frame rail.mthen I wired the rear towing plug and verified it all works. I reinstalled the skid plate while I was under there. I also hooked up my hand throttle again.

Since I had the seats out, I did the driver's seat mod to allow tall and/or fat people to more easily drive 44. Not sure it's gonna be comfortable for my daughters 6'7" boyfriend, but it's the best I could do. I also raised the front of the driver's seat by 1" and the back by 1.5". Now I can see over the dash :smokin: and her boyfriend will think he's even taller o_O

I still need to get the passenger seat back in and hook up the seat belts... But, that will have to wait a couple of weeks.

Since I raised the driver's seat, I'm gonna build a drawer under it, to make it easier to carry stuff... I removed the Jack and tool kit mounts, for now. I'm also gonna build a rear platform, at wheel well height, with two long drawers, to replace my two plastic totes... For spares, etc.... But, this sawdust endeavor will have to wait until I'm released by the eye surgeon in mid-March.

So... One more month... Dianna wants to take the Tundra and the Casita out and go camping for a while... Hope we can... We'll see...

Technically, since joining Weight Watchers 12 weeks ago, I've lost 27.4 lbs... I'm stoked... I've lost every week... As little as .2 lbs and as much as 5.6 lbs... I get plenty to eat and an occasional Dr Pepper. Dianna is such an excellent cook and she specializes in cooking Weight Watcher-adapted recipes.

My point is... Going to weigh-in, in person, provides the accountability that I need to stay on track...

Anyone can do it.

For encouragement - I'm the opposite . I can eat the refrigerator and not gain one pound - crazy metabolism and have always been that way . I'm 6' , and rarely top 160 if I'm lucky . There are a lot of occasions in my work where I could use the weight others have , so keep that in mind - being skinny does have it's drawbacks . I hate trying to buy jeans - my size range is almost non-existent now in this country .
We're pulling for ya - it's really the toughest to lose weight when you have health issues - got several friends in the same situation , support is everything .

How's the eye? The floater will go away after a while but yes it sucks.

I spliced my male 4-pin connectors into my new tail lights... They work, but the shimmering lights and the eyebrow (floater) hanging down over my left eye presented a challenge... As did my sore finger... But, they are ready to install.

I still need to splice in my cargo basket lights, in the back, and my towing lights, in the front... Mark built the harness with both stubbed out, but I'm gonna wait until I'm only seeing one wire at a time.

If it weren't for Chester, I wouldn't have gotten anything done...

Danny,

I'm hoping you are doing well and healing fast after your eye surgery.

It must be the year for the eyes. Today was my annual eye exam, I found out that my left eye is suffering from retinal hemorrhaging, next week I get to see, no pun indented, an eye specialist. Last week I was diagnosed as having renal failure issues due to diabetes and the diabetic med Metformin, my kidneys function is down to 80%, but the FJ40 work must continue, so I must find more things to do on my cruiser to forget all about my ailments.

Getting old sucks!!

Hang in there brother ~ when it rains it pours!
