You know, Im not really sure?? It is kinda strange how all that red came up yet still some much red remains. I'll have to give it another look in the morningRed under the white… interesting. Do you think it’s a color coat?
Yes, I do believe that the red was indeed a color coat that had been applied before the white.Red under the white… interesting. Do you think it’s a color coat?
That's some mean patina
Not to change the subject, but that’s a first ever avatar change for you, if I’m not mistaken. The jumping pic had a long run! That's some mean patina
Thank you very much!I just found this thread, and congratulations on your fine work! You mentioned earlier in the thread about your buddy who made you the TOYOTA letters had the ability to make dies and press them into sheet metal. Between him, and your access to the tools you have. You may consider producing parts to sell, to fund your FJ55 build. Any FJ55 part is near impossible to find, as I'm sure you know. And FJ55s finally seem to have some interest. I'm guessing because people discovered them once FJ40s became so popular recently. I look forward to following your build thread.
Me too, I'm trying to be optimistic. It makes me wonder what other pig owners have done to fix their corners after the bumper ends have dented them?Great idea! Keeping my fingers crossed that this works out![]()
First, i removed the bumper ends after they did the initial damage. Then, after the first Pigrun on the Rubicon, i just cut off all the wrinkled bits...It makes me wonder what other pig owners have done to fix their corners after the bumper ends have dented them?
They either just leave it (99% of PO’s) or they try to roll them and fab them out of a piece of sheetmetal. Several guys on here have succeeded at fabbing them out, but it’s always a ton of work.Me too, I'm trying to be optimistic. It makes me wonder what other pig owners have done to fix their corners after the bumper ends have dented them?
