I just found this thread, and congratulations on your fine work! You mentioned earlier in the thread about your buddy who made you the TOYOTA letters had the ability to make dies and press them into sheet metal. Between him, and your access to the tools you have. You may consider producing parts to sell, to fund your FJ55 build. Any FJ55 part is near impossible to find, as I'm sure you know. And FJ55s finally seem to have some interest. I'm guessing because people discovered them once FJ40s became so popular recently. I look forward to following your build thread.

Thank you very much!

I have no idea of what I'm doing.... Honestly, I'm winging' this stuff. I was walking through the parking lot the other day and I noticed that the lower rear corner on my coworker Toyota Tacoma pickup looks very close to the cruisers damaged/rotted out, lower rear corner. So I cut the rot out of the cruiser and took it with me to work. I held up to the pickup to see just how similar they are. Pretty close really... I may need to open up the radius a bit and work it some to get it just right but I think it'll work. I'm going to hit the wrecking yard on Monday and plan on cutting out a fresh corner from a wrecked Tacoma. Fingers crossed that it'll fit 🤞

It makes me wonder what other pig owners have done to fix their corners after the bumper ends have dented them?
First, i removed the bumper ends after they did the initial damage. Then, after the first Pigrun on the Rubicon, i just cut off all the wrinkled bits...

Me too, I'm trying to be optimistic. It makes me wonder what other pig owners have done to fix their corners after the bumper ends have dented them?
They either just leave it (99% of PO’s) or they try to roll them and fab them out of a piece of sheetmetal. Several guys on here have succeeded at fabbing them out, but it’s always a ton of work.

I arrived at the wrecking yard this morning only to find out that they are going out of business. They have sold their inventory to a larger wrecking company in the area. That new company came in a few weeks ago and relocated almost all the Toyota's to another yard. So I settled on this corner from a Chevy S10 pickup. The corner is definitely going to need a lot of working to get it right. I paid $10 for the corner.
