Well, I'm starting to get serious about painting this thing. I'm going to paint it at my work. We have three paint booths, two of which are large enough to paint a semi truck trailer. The paint department supervisor says that I can sneak in the doors, tailgate, hood and fenders on a Saturday (still during normal production hours) and will let his painter spray them. I will get the rest of the body ready for them to paint the following weekend. Best part is that it's FREE! The Only catch is that the color options are extremely limited. Light tan with white two-tone. Maybe not my first choice in color but I'm okay with that! The paint is a durable two part, Polane paint.

Now you’ve done it! So cool the boss is letting you use the booth!
I’m into the tan and beige colors myself, doesn’t seem like we got enough of them here in the US. But if you decided to go with a different color/paint, would you be able to use your own gun and paint and still use the booth?

You know, I'm not really sure... I could probably purchase some paint and have the painter spray it but at the same time I'm thinking, better not ask for too much and just be happy they're willing to help.
I would like to run with the tan because I think your right, there simply isn't enough of them around. It's really not a bad color either. I've always like the look of a tan 40's & 45's But the jury's still out on how it goes with the 55's 😁
I'm going to talk to the paint supervisor next week and see what all my options are. If he'll let me swap out paint colors then I may do that. We'll have to see.

I like the tan and white. The sample you sprayed looks good. The free price can’t be beat. Go for it.
