Would you be able to post a pic of how your steering column is mounded to the firewall?

Nice build/refresh.

i cant because i am not going to be home for a while but i can then. but heres a rough rundown on how its done. man a fre sells a plate that fits the opening then i cut a piece of tubing in half and welded it in place to the bracket at the right angle so the column will rest inside the half tube. then i cut the end of the steering tube with the four corners off and put a bearing in there to kept the shaft aligned. so the steering tube sticks out of the firewall a little. its done. the plate is under gm steering conversion. downey sells one and so does aa there all the same. if you need a picture i can ask someone to take it and send it to me.

Thanks for the info, the description is more than enough now so dont worry about the pic.

Just one more thing, so there is nothing securing the column to the firewall, its just resting on the support?

Thanks again.:)

Sweet Ken!! Keep up the good work. I love your set up. Your roll bar mounted cb and radio are kick a$$! You, my friend, are old school. That makes you AWESOME!

Awesome job! One question though, where did you hide the wife through this build? You must be one of those "lucky ones" that has a wife that never complains! Hahahahaha. Seroiusly, that is an outstanding build! Merry Christmas....
