By the way things are going this year with a couple of big wild fires already I'm expecting to see the forest closed in the northern part of the state bu mid June and not opened again until the monsoon starts. I know in years past the use of chain saws has been restricted during most of the day. Mount Ord may be difference but it still has a pine forest.:meh:

See post #21 ;)

FS = Forest Service

If it comes down to it we have a Honda generator and a Super SawZall:D

All these people with chainsaws ... sounds like the AZ Chainsaw Massacre

Ok then I also have a Super SawZall and 1500W inverter on board to run it!!

I have a couple of axes and a bow saw. No spark, no flame. Always legal.

I have an 18 volt chain saw and sawzall but only 3 ni cads total. Saws eat batteries quickly so, use is limited. Anyone have any Ryobi lithiums?

Use this

stop being a bunch of wooses and bring one of these: :p

Actually, I do have one of those. Well, almost. It is a one man version from the Illinois Power Company, used for trimming tree limbs away from the power lines. John

Any updates on this? Pre-run or run?

This old saw is still sharp enough to work, but I don't keep it in the rig. It stays in my "Heirloom Room", along with my 250 year old Grandfather clock and the barn door from my grandpa's homestead. John

I'm interested in both clean up and run. Have electric chainsaw if someone is bringing a generator, machete, and saw.

Juan is bringing Machete!!! I did not know you knew him. :cool:

So I actually made it to a meeting :bounce: :bounce2: but left before anyone discussed a June run or more specifically where we were with the FS and this trip.

So what did I miss??
