Not a problem. You may have to help unload it when you get here to borrow it, though...

Got it unloaded today, it's ready to go

Anyone got an open seat? Kicking around going but don't have either vehicle ready at this point...Trust me I've convinced myself to take the 40 at least twice tonight and then not... sigh. Hoping to get tires this Friday but gears would still be a problem. Jaws 1 looks to be the tough one but both look like they have a easier side to pass on and not take the big chunky stuff. Probably 50/50 at this point...

Oh and if I took the 40 I'll only have a bikini top & half...maybe full doors :flipoff2:

P A P P Y!

TEE HEE HEE HEE........come on PAPPY, time to MAN up mister!!!

Shawn, where should we camp Fri night? I'm hoping to leave town before 4pm if possible.

Which brings up the question. What is the time line for this? Do we need to drive up on Friday, or can it be done Saturday morning?

I can go up Friday, but I see no problem waiting at the trailhead for those that want to leave Sat morning. Brock gets out of school at 2:40. we can camp at the trailhead, trailer parking area. I figured to sleep in the truck bed for that night. who is planning to leave when? I got Ali and myself.

I've been working like a mad man for the last 5 days straight. almost 8 hours a day. the 40 looks good. family cage done with frame tie in's for the middle hoop (only 1 that was missing). fenders done, just need paint. heater shut offs installed. new battery. can't remember what else. pics later, I'm tired.

I'm going to have to bow out on this. I genuinely had it on the book for this weekend and work has completely shot my plans: I have a co-worker who's mother just went in to hospice and I need to cover over the weekend. I hope you guys have an awesome time! PICS PLEASE!

Happy Wheeling

Directions to trailhead? Link with directions?

Ali provided some words of wisdom during an earlier chat..... "...prepare for cold and wet...". He may be on to something. Here is a snap shot of the weather at the top for the weekend.

Blanca Peak Weather.webp

Ya, the possibility of rain will be a deal breaker for me.

Looks like the weekend has the best weather. No rain until Sunday afternoon and y'all will be back down by then.

I am seeing about 10% chance in the evenings until Sunday it goes up to 30% after 4pm. I am taking the doors off for this one. soft top is on.

never mind, Brock voted to keep the doors on.

anyone still planning on coming Sat morning? Ali, you driving on your own or want to caravan it? anyone else want to caravan?

here is the info from traildamage.com- Blanca Peak and here is the map of the trail head road- Map of Colorado Trailheads

looks like from Alamosa go east on 160 and the north on 150(toward Great Sand Dunes) to Lake Como Rd(Road 975, approx 3.2 miles from 160). I figured to camp Friday night on Lake Como rd where we park the trailers there's a large area on the road you can't miss. does that sound like what others wanted to do?

Looks like Jessica won't leave work until around 5 or so. [emoji20] caravan sounds good if it isn't too late for y'all!

that will leave Brock time for homework. I'm ok with that. anyone else even coming? I'll call Frank and see what he and Larry are doing. Matt, Grant?
