If all goes well I will joining the the 120 series crowd with the purchase of a rig that has been in the hands of a couple mud folks and is already modded with Fox coilovers and K02's. It is going to replace my 03 Montero Limited that I had an Ironman lift on with Duratracs I have been cruising around with. I really liked some features of the Montero such as the massive rear storage tub under the floor, the spare is in the correct location form the start, and the seats go back far enough to be comfortable. The Montero never really made me happy though, it was a constant headache of things that needed to be fixed and I got tired of it quick. Sourcing parts was also a pain and expensive. So back to Toyota where I know things will be better!
A few things I am a little apprehensive about regarding the 120 is the storage space for family camping trips, the spare is in wrong spot, and I hope the seats go back far enough! We were really hunting for a 100 series, but this GX seems like it will be better for daily driver duty and seems like a good value for a solid truck.
Also, I have not had a chance to call Lexus regarding the cracked dash issue, are they going to fix all of them?
