Thank you sir! The 60 would go 70 on flat stretches after a down grade, but would only go 50 or so up hills, sometimes less than that. I haven't even attempted to calculate the mileage I was getting, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't below 10.

The tank was definitely not as difficult as the frame, but it was hard to get it lined up properly. I was on my back, holding it up with my feet along with my girlfriend and then was able to thread the bolts in with my hands. Quite the adventure, but what isn't an adventure with a cruiser? I greco-roman pinned that gas tank into position., beverly hillbillies with style. It would be even better if my truck wasn't so rusty!I will do my best to get out to Moab next summer. I hope to make Rubithon 2012 and if that happens, then I might as well hit up Moab while I'm out there, right?

Ordered new OEM wheel studs for the front end today. Need to make sure they are in good shape to run the spacers safely!

Yup, pretty excited about it. The spacers are needed to clear the passenger side TREs.
Nice. Now you just need a set a 4:1 gears for your t-case and you'll be all set for Rubithon.

You know what, I was running the numbers again and the Toybox would get me much deeper gearing. I may just go that route
Gotta wait a while after the tires because other things are going to need to come first, like a welder to patch the body back together, fab up a skid plate, etc.

They're only 1.5" spacers, I didn't think they were that big.
37x13.50r15 Rockers. Picking them up next weekend.

Sweet! I was unsure if I should get the little .5" spacers or go for the bigger ones, and I decided that a little more track width couldn't hurt. She's gonna look a bit like your rig back in '08

Got the spacers installed yesterday afternoon and today. Found out two things that I'm not terribly happy about. Water got into the passenger front outer wheel bearing and it feels pretty rough. In addition, the passenger rear drum is out of adjustment, likely because the shoes need to be replaced. The brakes and front end bearing will be replaced when we've got another car and can have Moonshine down for a whole weekend.
Other than that, everything was great! Used my new press to get the old studs out and press the new ones in. For those that don't know or haven't seen it before, you throw your hub assembly into the press and press the old studs down and out until they fall out of the hub on their own. To get the new ones in, you flip the hub assembly over and press the studs down through the rotor into the hub until the shoulder of the studs is flat against the rotor.
Once the new studs are on, throw some anti-seize on the spacer mounting surface and throw it on. Thread the supplied nuts down into the spacer and torque to 100#. I used some blue loctite as this is a daily driver and I don't need these suckers loosening up. I do plan to check the torque after 100 miles or so but the loctite should help prevent issues.
Same thing for the rear except I elected not to replace the studs in the rear. As you can tell, it would look different with a stock axle but the process is the same.

i'm running 1.5" spacers on my 60 and really like the the added width, and i think it looks a little better too...
i'm looking forward to seeing the pits on your truck, i'm leanining towards the same tire after i SOA my truck... when you get them mounted up would you post your actual height measurement. I have heard a lot about them being shorter than the specs they show for them...
