Well I am going sking until Sunday but when I get back Sunday night I am going to converse with el' Prezidente and will be posting up the details for everyone late Sunday night ( I promise I will be on time Marshall) since it getting to be crunch time little more than 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy new years fellas!
 
Okay it is time...........

The Tellico "extravaganza" MLK weekend 2006

The dates are Jan. 13, 14, 15, 16

We will be staying at the Riversong Chalet . This is on the Tenn side of Upper Tellico. http://tellicovacations.com/property-Riversong.php

The general plan is to meet in Walhalla at 12 p.m. on Friday the 13th at the Ingels there........ we will be caravaning from there to Murphy where you can either take Trail one to the chalet or the highway route around to Tenn. ( your choice) For anyone meeting us in Murphy I would put E.T.A. at the Subway around 3pm..........

We will be doing the standard trails 4,5,6,8 and will be on a laid back schedule, most likely we will be meeting up with other Cruiser clubs from Georgia, Miss., and Bama for the trail rides....

I suggest for food arrangements that we have designated cookers for dinner Fri., Sat., and Sun. nights and breakfast and lunch will be left up to the individual.

dinner assignments:
Friday night: JP- Burgers and Dogs
Sat. night: Marshall and his famous BBQ
Sun. night: Andy and his venison!

This is going to be a great trip, Tellico is beautiful in the winter a little chilly but BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! So come and join us for good times

Please post up if you are coming so that we can have a head count for dinner each night and let me know if I left anything out

I taking Friday off anyway so I would like to leave earlier to get suituated and maybe do some shopping for food and paper products in Tellico. David suggested leaving early but he, probably as I, will do as others can/will as the caravan up there is fun and safer as we can all be together (it is the general consensis although no one has mention it directly that we will enjoy seeing you freeze your backside off in an open top 40):grinpimp: I have not spoken to David about this but I may and I stress may, have power of attorney for the counselor. What say ye Gundy?;) Like the little guy in "Oh Brother" said; I'M WITH YOU FELLERS.
 
Us on the "better" side of the border are tryin to get our act together.

My guess is we will be campin near where we did last year, or up on trail 2.

Ya'll know you Jawga boys are welcomed to stay with us at the house.
Nice and warm. I know ya'll are all tough and hardened vets, but
feel free to drop in and shower, get warm and party with us anytime.
The more the merrier!

I'm good with the NOON meeting at Wahalla....PROVIDED....
NOON IS THE DEPARTURE TIME. I do not wish to be driving at night
through those mountains. BTDT....ask Alex....IT SUCKS!
So...in summation....I'd like to get this show on the Road To Murphy
at NOON FRIDAY.
I'm pulling out at HIGH NOON...stragglers and late arrivers....see ya'll
in Murphy. :grinpimp:

Totally agree. If I'm late I wouldn't expect anyone to wait on me. I will plan on being there on time this time. Or maybe a little early.
 
Looks like I am going to have to bail on this trip. To much going on and not enough access to my truck.

I might have to figure out a different way to get there then, b/c I don't know if I want to skip all my friday classes when its only the second day of classes.
 
Well unfortunately it looks like I'm not gonna be able to make it. With my new position with 84 I'm workin in Spartanburg for a few months, so it's killin me on mileage. Gonna have to find a beater to drive to work soon rather than the 60. But I don't think I'm gonna be able to get off at noon on friday to go, and like Dave said I'm not drivin in those mountains, esp since I've only been there once. If somethin changes I'll let ya know.

trust me JP I'd be there if I could. found out yesterday that I'd be workin in spartanburg.
 
yeah I'm pretty down on missin it, but the position is a good one, and I'll make more money, and eventually I'll be workin in mauldin. I'll probably continue the diamantling of the 40 that weekend now. Took out the seats the other night. Guess I need to come up with a plan of attack...lol...nah I'll just take her apart!
