The more I troll, the more I wish I didnt have inventory this weekend. Oh well, just make sure you take plenty of pictures (I'm sure Troll will).

On the other hand I would be in the same boat as JP (no top) so maybe this will be a good one to sit out. Either way have fun and be safe.

Winterfest

Trail #1 became impassable. Stateline was a sheet of ice
covered with snow. Highway #165 to Indian Boundry had
our FZJ80 struggling for traction at 10 m.p.h. :grinpimp:
Blizzard conditions. 6 to 8 inches of blowing snow.
ABS isn't much help with glare ice. Returning from the Stateline trip
on the glare ice the 80 slid about 100 feet before stopping
from 10 m.p.h. Lynn ate a few Rolaids after THAT little bit
of fun. I have to say slip and slide has a whole new feeling
with a 20 foot cliff down to the frigid, raging, whitewater on
your right. Real pucker stuff. :bounce:
Great sledding video shot by the Prez!
All attendees will have great tales and memories for a lifetime!
:grinpimp:

I look forward to seeing the pics and hearing the stories. Them hills can be very challenging when icy.

Not on the "inside" group anymore does that mean my posts don't get read?? What ever happened to the rumor about the FJ making an appearance up there?

Hello, Travis!

Where did that come from?

I think all of us read everyone's posts. No one favors any one thing here. Please accept my apologies if I or we (speaking for the group) have made you uncomfortable. You are a member in good standing and always welcome with your opinions and input into the club.

Sorry you missed a great outting this weekend. You would have enjoyed ALL the vehicles we saved (including a few of our own) on the icey roads in the mountains. And yes...Chuckster did ride a sled on a tow rope behind a 60 (actually, I have a movie of it).

No, the Fj was not present. Neither was most of humanity. It was quite trecherous out there. Hope to see you out soon.

Hey alex you need to e-mail me the videos and phots so I can host them up.

Had a great time. Burgers, chili, club home movies, pool, hot tub, BBQ, 4 inches of snow and a lot of lessons on being patient when helping someone out. Had a blast. Looking forward to next year.

It was a blast!! Would do it all over again in a minute. Glad we all made it back safe and no one got hurt. Hope JP and John and Travis and Mr. Virgo had a good day of wheelin....Hope we'll get some pics of them wheelin.

Good fellowship, good food, great movies and helped a couple of folks out of the ditch. Special thanks to David for securing the house and Marshall for the good cookin. And Ghen, those sandwiches were worth 20 dollars each!

We REALLY REALLY missed being able to fraternize/wheel with you Upstate guys:frown:
The nuts were are, had a blast camping at stateline however and even wheeled up 5 (yes UP 5 in 4" of snow:eek: ) and down 4 on Saturday afternoon. Then wheeled 6 to 4 then to 8 and then to 9 and watched some of us do slick rock yesterday.
The worst trail ironically enough on Saturday was 1, upon exiting 4 and going back to camp we had to CRAWL through 1 at around 5MPH due to the heavy traffic making it a sheet of ice.
This was the most beautiful i've ever seen the trails up there.

Glad to hear everyone's trip was eventful. We didn't get nearly as much snow in the valley at Pigeon Forge but we ventured out and played in it on the ridges today. :D
