gezzzz. That blows. Make sure the owner of that shop gets an email of this thread page, so he can see what his monkey is doing in his shop under his name. The owner should be giving you a heads up bonus, on who he needs to fire before he causes him some real loss. I hope that guy dose not work on brakes.

Stick to it. Looks like it is now in great hands. How cool is that to be seeing your engine's surgery posted on the net. You know exactly what's going on. Poser.

Further-

If you think that something is not correct, ASK SOMEONE about it!

Believe me I will. Don't be surprised if you see a new thread from me before the weekend's out. I was on this morning trying to find pictures of the direction of the camshaft plug because I couldn't remember. Now I need to go put that in and get the 2F on the stand to wash it down before assembly... I'm glad to hear the crank is salvageable on his. Mine had to be ground slightly too.

So in these two previous pictures we see the bearing debris that is blocking the oil passage in the crankshaft from the #4 main bearing journal to the #6 throw:

In these pictures we see what was in the oil journal after it was removed:

The copper found in the oil journal, oil pan and other areas is from the connecting rod bearing:

poser called me friday, to tell me he picked up the crank so that is done, gaskets are at steves shop from cdanl i ordered a crank nut from spector, that should also be at steves shop (did u get that yet steve) i know the engine builder (randy) was waiting on a few parts to be delivered before he can do final assemb. on lower half of engine. so once those get there should not be long. steve and myself will be putting together the upper half and rest of stuff in steves shop.

in the mean time i have been cleaning up all things that got oils and greese on them, scraping all gaskets off stuff and repainting if needed. i washed engine bay on friday night so it is ready to go in.

i am keeping next weekend open in the hopes to get down to steves shop and do this, but guess it will all be on how fast parts can geth there.

YOU........................Are.........................GOLDEN:D It will all be good Aaron. I knew you before you knew Steve and I told you he was the man.....No fault, no harm, but he'll get you back on track. He has talked me out of spending "stupid money" many times:doh: His work is FIRST CLASS............other than that, I don't have a nice thing to say about the prick;)

Ed:beer:<<<<<<poor substitute for a bottle of Austin Nichols:D

have a great weekend guys!!

Well spent the weekend down at Steve’s shop…. Steve was really busy working on a sweet Lexus LX470 he is building for a customer so he was really busy with that….. but It was great to have him there when I had questions and or needed a second set of hands…. Both of which happened a few times…. I stopped out at the machine shop about 9 to get the engine, we worked until about 2 AM…. Few breaks in there and few people stopped over to talk to Steve but it was a long day for me and I was really tired by the time we called it a day….

Here is what happened this weekend in somewhat of an orderly fashion…
