Yeah, I will have to assemble it and see how the geometry looks. Like Colonelmustard said it depends on where the rocker is riding on the valve tip. Too much to the side and you are side loading your valve guides. When I put my other projects motor together we ordered an adjustable pushrod to measure the perfect length throughout the valves travel. But its a high lift, high RPM motor...

You shaved the block you shaved the head, you didnt touch the top of the head where the rocker arm sits.
THEN what are the ajusable rocker arms for.
You could take 3mm off and still have ajustment.
Shaving the head doesnt ajust where the rockers hit the valves

I totally agree. I've been looking at the title of this thread wondering WTF?

In your first post you say 2F engine , that ant a 2f. I agree with that rocker setup on that v8 you may have to put shorte push rods in, but on a 2f you dont have that problem.

Increasing the compression ratio increases the "theoretical" thermal efficiency of the motor. Going from 8:1 to 9:1 compression ratio results in a approximate gain of 3.5% horsepower.

Just so we understand the significance of this ... that is only 4hp on a 2F. Not anything you are going to feel.

You've obviously never had any first hand experience.

Wanna bet? The only difference between my 9:1 and what has been proposed is I included other work to compliment the increase in compression ... porting the head, cc chambers, cam, balancing, efi. That total package was way worth it.
