Who makes the best repair manual for the money, ease of instructions and pictures? Is there one out there, or should I just purchase the multitude of manuals from Toyota? I have a 78 FJ40.
Thanks

You try looking in used book stores. I have found several that way. They usually run about 5 bucks apiece at one of those places. Ebay is a higher price venue and expect to pay a lot more. If you room in your hard drive want to put it in CD, you can search for one in a PDF format. I have some in both but I would rather have the book instead.

I like the manuals from the Toyota Materials Distribution Center. The manual set from this website is printed in 8.5x11 format on heavier stock than the original manuals and I find them user friendly to read and use. The current price from MDC is as follows; Engine Manual - $20.10, Chassis Manual - $45.84, Emissions Manual - $9.22. Shipping to Arizona brought the total cost to $94.37. I called and they are all in stock. Call them on the toll free number and tell them what year, model etc.
