Machining a Groove out of a Companion Flange (1 Viewer)

Is it worth trying to get this out, or do most everyone replace with new?

Even I am not that cheap. I would replace it but I would use a speedi seal rather than machine it if the flange wasn’t available.

Valley Hybrids or Cruiser outfitters could probably advise you/provide you with the right part. Obviously It depends on course verses fine spline and the correct bolt pattern. For example, personally if I re- gear my stock 71 course spline diffs I will be looking for a fine spline but with the older smaller driveshaft size/pattern.
