Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie in this forum, I've been reading a few threads here and there but I finally decided to register after acquiring my new car.

Model: LX570 2014 GCC spec (5.7L gasoline engine) - (200,000KM/124,000 Miles on the odo)

I live in the UAE (Very hot country) 25c+ (77F) in winter, 35c+ (95F) in summer, with temperatures reaching 50c (122F occasionally)
Use-case: I am planning to use my daily in summer (great AC) and on weekends for desert over-landing in the winter

I am looking for a Stock+ setup and I am considering those wheels (Recon SLX 17" 5x150, 17x18.5)
I am open to a soft lift or a 1-2 inch lift after upgrading my suspension in the future or a body chop.

From my limited research online 32/33 inch max should be the setup for my use-case

I tried finding the datebase in the link below but I only found the database link for LC100, maybe I am doing something wrong!
Tire and Wheel size data base, I can't locate the link for the LC200/lx570 in this thread

Few questions I need help with;
1- Does those wheels fit my car correctly?
2- What is the recommended tire size for my usecase?
3- Is 5w40 oil a good fit the milage and climate I live in? or should I move to 5w50 or 5w 30?
4- Do I need an oil cooler? oil temperature never reach half of the gauge with daily driving, normally it is by the second marker or a bit above.
5- Correct link for the LC200 wheel size database?

Thanks

I can only help with #5, since I have no experience with 122F and never want any.

Thank you, your link helped me answer 1,2 and 5
Now I understand that my selected wheels (17x8.5 +25mm) should fit with no issues and if I go with any size bigger than 285, then I should expect rubbing or prepare for lift and some chopping mods.

5w30 is what most of the world 200 series is using. You should be good with that to.
BTW what is Mr. T saying in your UAE manual?
The oil temp is a result of the engine cooling engineered to stay with in Toyota specs. So don't bother, all is good.
Where people are looking for coolers is the transmission fluid. I do not know if în UAE it comes with the front cooler like in US. You can take a look as it is large and easy to see in front of the radiator.
Does your LX have AHC? If yes then you can achieve your desire lift easy with a sensor lift.
Enjoy your ride!

Hm to be honest… Toyota built your car pretty likely for your environment. Shouldn’t be any problem running it on stock. My 200 is a diesel but a friend traveled across whole northern Africa and the Sahel area without any problems on a normal Old Man Emu setup.
A thing that is handy would be a aux tank like from Long Ranger.
One thing to be pepared is that you maybe should wash out your frame since it tends to collect alot of sand.

Per the parts diagrams a GCC LX570 should have the same aux engine oil and transmission coolers we get here in the states on the 5.7, and they are really effective systems. The transmission cooler could use some help if you are towing really heavy.. but if not I don’t see the need to upgrade.
