Put 285/70/17 yokohama geolandar at on rock Warrior wheels 2010 lx570
I have 3000miles on them but the front tires look like they are wearing strange. Edges are looking chewed up. Now I do take off ramps pretty fast so maybe that's it? I run 34 psi cold as recommended by the tire pressure guy here on mud. Back tires don't show this condition. I did a mild front sensor lift (I didn't slide them all the way ) only lifted about 3/4 inch. Any ideas? Suspension is all new 10k miles ago with new shocks, globes, upper and lower front control arms, ball joints, steering rack and outer tie rod ends . Alignment was done at that time but no Alignment after mild sensor lift
First 2 pics with circled areas are front tires, other 2 are rear

Hrmm, this looks like classic scrub type wear which would be odd as you're running +50 Rock Warrior wheels. Are you also running spacers by chance?

Yes I'm running spidertrax spacers

Ah, that's making more sense. With the combined 1.25" wheel spacers and +50 Rock Warriors, it's at a net offset of +18mm.

That's the root cause to the tire shoulder scrub and wear.

You might try milder 1" spacers that'll put you at a net offset of +25mm. Or even better .75" spacers for net offset of +32mm.

Or try dialing in a bit more negative camber which should help the outside shoulders. This may even improve straight line stability and cornering by reducing the amount the tire fight each other and scrub.

Sounds good. I'll try the alignment 1st. Thank you

As we know when you put the truck in high mode it adds noticeable positive camber so I guess that mild lift I did gave it more positive camber than before? Make sense?

Also wanted to ask should we be using the factory 2010 lx570 specs for alignment or the 2010 landcruiser? I'm assuming the tire and wheel change shouldn't affect recommended alignment specs?

Yes, it tends towards positive camber with more lift so if you haven't done an alignment since the sensor lift, would be good to do so.

Def LX570 specs. LC specs tends to want more positive camber to compensate for brake dive which the LX doesn't experience.

You'll want a hint of negative camber. Neutral toe.

Less caster will help I think, given the extra scrub. When you turn the tires lean, and the more caster you have the more the edges lean. Combine that with lower offset and you get even more edge wear

I just live with it, but I seem to replace tires every 30k or so when the noise gets bad or the traction is marginal in snow
