Return style doesn't need anything but the gm fuel pressure regulator so you can remove the aftermarket one and no the 60 and 62 fuel pump module are not the same.
Can I use a 62 bracket on a 60 tank? I just noticed the GM fpr this weekend after looking into the fuel delivery issue. I guess the mechanic that did the conversion thought the aftermarket would look cool. I do like being able to see real time pressure without having to connect the gauge in the fuel rail

No it doesn't fit. Two totally different setups as far as fuel pump module go 62 is a module 60 is just a pickup tube 62 has fuel pump in tank . You could ditch the the setup you have and go a different route just money and time.

Thanks Tommy,

I guess for now I’ll just remove the aftermarket fpr and keep the inline fuel pump. I don’t have money or time at the moment for this truck since it is going towards my 40 project

how long have you been running it with two FPR's? I want to immediately say it shouldn't work since the first regulator is a restriction for the second regulator. But it you can't get more then 42psi past the first one then your have a issue there... I would definitely delete the adjustable one and just use the GM one on the fuel rail either way though.

Since the conversion was done in 2008. I only noticed this last week when I read your post above on manual fpr and started researching … Not sure why the mechanic used both but it had run ok in the past

with stock Gen 3 ECU/tune/injectors you want about 55-60psi of fuel pressure. Which you should be measuring at the schraeder valve on the fuel rail.

I am going to get another fuel pump…. Both the adjustable fpr and gauge at fuel rail were measuring the same, 42psi

Matt , when you say manual FPR, are you refering to the vacuum controlled unit on early 2000 LS motors ?
FWIW I have an inexpensive e2000 pump running external on the frame rail with ford filters, stock & aux rear fj40 tanks, ford dual tank switch valve witch switches the return as well, been running 18 years, little noisy at times but I am shocked & grateful that my system has just run.

Hey if it makes you feel any better, i just switched to an in tank fuel pump and its only slightly quieter than a properly insulated in line fuel pump routed on the frame rail. Ive been driving around for about a month with my in tank and wish i just left it alone and kept the external. External fuel pump with a check valve, properly insulated and mounted lower than the fuel tank worked just fine, now i have to drop the tank if this new pump ever goes bad

That's weird .

Maybe it’s the tanks inc gp4. But I can still hear it in the cab while priming and running. It’s definitely much quieter from standing outside of the truck, but inside you can still hear it quite a bit.
Is it touching the bottom of the tank?

Would you happen to have the part #’s for the ford filters?

Yes, 92' , F150, FF745 - they are on the inlet side, between the tank & pump, been there since motor was put in in 06' , prolly should change them out. I use an airtek e2000 pump which has performed since 06' as well however it is loud at times and I attribute that to the inlet side filters. The heigth of my pump is such that unless tilted or extremely low fuel level, it has fuel in the pump so it doesnt have to draw it up a vertical distance thus potentially losing prime and/or sucking air. The sound of the pump changes when the tanks get low, I use the sound as a back up for the bouncing, vaque gauge reading.

The tanks inc is a walbro, well known for its noise. One of the reasons I didn’t choose it

no, he has an Aeromotive-brand adjustable FPR in addition to the vacuum-reference one on his fuel rail.

Personally I am a big fan of the 98-02 ones on the fuel rails and will swap the earlier rails onto later engines if we get an 03-06 donor. It's a bummer they don't fit over the bigger +07 "TBSS/Breadbox" intakes.

I am still running the same Denso 1FZ pump for like six years now silently and problem free. Of course I'm going to screw it up soon since I need to make some changes to support +500hp  Bye reliability.

I wish i went with the 1fz pump. Everything ive read about it is that its super quiet.
