Gday all,
Just wondering where the wiring for the in-tank fuel pump plugs into on a Fj62? I have removed a gas-conversion and got a factory tank, but am unsure where the factory wiring loom plug is? The only plug I can see under the car is under the rear tailgate - pretty much centre of the car. Is this it?
(My new tank doesnt have the internal pump, so I am wiring in an external pump and am hoping I can connect it to the factory plug)
Any pics would be great!!
Thanks!

Left rear quarter panel, same grommet as the level sender wiring.
Was your vehicle originally EFI equipped being in Australia? If not, it wouldn’t have that wiring.

Thanks mate! From what I have read, my 12/1989 fj62 (3F carby) should have had a fuel tank with the internal fuel pump… however… the factory wiring coming from the left hand rear quarter panel only has the fuel level sensor wiring…. Things are further confusing for me as the mechanical fuel pump is also bypassed, and the lpg conversion makes me unsure of what is and isn’t factory!!

Nope, yours would have had the mechanical pump on the side of the block.
You still haven’t confirmed, do you have EFI now or are you still carbureted? If you’re still running a carburetor, just buy a new Toyota 3F pump, install on your block, and party on.
Be sure to include the 6mm spacer between the fuel pump and engine block.

Thanks again!
It has a carby - makes things a bit easier for me as I can now stop looking for the wiring!!
