Locksmith????

Yep - locksmith...just got some factory fresh keys cut the other day. Cost me $65 and they are sooth as silk.

no key

If you have the switch in your column, take plastic two piece cover off. you can then take screww off ignition switch and start with a screwdriver until you find your keys. good luck

Dunno about on the 40's, but every Toyota I've ever worked on has had the factory key number stamped into the tumbler on the passenger door. Pull the door lock, take it to your dealer so they can read the code, and they can convert it to the proper cut for the key.

Take the doors off at the hinges, reach inside and unlock, remove the whole door. Take off the hard top.. Build a cage, get a soft top done.. Cut your doors in half and get soft top halves made. Modify the wiring, an on/off switch and push button start.. Forget about any keys!

(psssst - your keys are in the last place you left them)
