Now, the hood issue. Is the hood loose when it is fully closed? Can you grab the grill and get the hood to move up and down or is it that you see flex in the hood skin or a shimmy at the corners?
The corner shimmy can be corrected by adjusting the rubber bumpers on the underside of the hood at the outside corners. If you see flex in the hood skin, check this thread.

What is this unplugged connector next to my fog lights?
I found this next to the driver's side foglight while underneath the car. Anyone know what it is for? Should I tape it up so that it's not exposed?

Reporting back...I slathered every attachment point I could find with clear silicone, making sure it made contact with both the hood skin and the frame - some of the gaps were almost 1”. It took a while to piece together the 10 hood clips - everywhere around me had 2-4 in stock. She’s buttoned...
