I am looking for wiper blades for my GX. What do other GX folks use that gives:
  • Good fit and coverage: even pressure and doesn't skip spots in the middle of range, no streaks
  • Long life: preferably refillable
  • Off-road use: good for snow, and dirt
I hear that silicone ones are the best, long-lasting and works well but I have no experience with them.
The brands that keep coming up searches are PIAA and Bosch Icon.

SilBlade, all I use any longer. I generally get a few years out of them, more on my wife's car that's garaged.

Bosch icons here, but looking to upgrade as well. Only seem to get a year out of a set. I don't think the long dry summers are good for blade longevity. That coupled with scraping ice off every winter.

I installed Bosch Icons the week I bought my GX in January 2017 and I still have them. Haven't garaged it in that time and they still work great.

I vote bosch icons. Other brands squeak on my gx

Bosch Icon or Valeo brand. Nobody knows Valeo, but they are good

I use Bosch Icons and try to replace them annually.

I sixth the Bosh Icons. I live in Tahoe with a 7 month + winter season and I find these are the best I've used over 21 years up here so worth the extra cost for me. I liked that they have the extra cover and don't freeze in the flat position when stopped at the bottom of the windshield and then don't clean the curved area when wiping as so many others do. I wipe the blade with alcohol wipe a couple times a year and I get multiple seasons out of them. I should point out the we have extreme weather snow conditions but we rarely get below zero F so that may make a difference depending on where you live.

I decided to go with the PIAA because they get good Youtube reviews and their web sites talk about refills. It just seems right that wiper blades should be refillable. Bosch Icons also get good reviews and are refillable too if you fidget with them.
I just want to try out silicon wipers.

Bosch Icon here as well, though I have had good luck with the Valeo on the rear of my GX and my wife’s van. I’ve run the Icons through living in the gulf coast, Great Lakes area, and now the ice-prone central Midwest. Every time I’ve bought a car that had something different, or I decided to go cheap, I seem to end up buying a new set of Icons shortly thereafter.

Hi All,
I'm also looking at Bosch wipers, but when I search on Amazon, I'm getting options I do not fully understand. The Amazon default for the GX470 seems to be "22A + 21B." I get the whole A vs B idea, but is this the right way to go?

Just installed PIAA silicon blades yesterday. Hope to get a couple years out of them. We will see.

...and I switched from SilBlade to the Icons - wow, what a positive difference! I retract my SilBlade recommendation, the last set was hard and did not last long at all; and they didn't do a very good job, as I see now.

Northern California finally received some real stretches of rainy weather. My August-installed PIAA silicon wipers didn't degrade after sitting in the california sun for 4 months. They slide silently and smoothly across my windshield, and leave no streaks behind.

Bosh... but stay away from Scrubblade.... they're s***. don't do half of what they claim

I have Bosch Icon in for the second time. I like them a lot.
